I thought I'd start a non-Swansea football thread for Swansea fans. Somewhere that we can offer our thoughts on Moyes coming in at Man U, who Arsene should be spending his warchest on, how Celtic might do in Europe this year... etc etc. Anyway, feel free to chip in discussion topics - but to start with: How does everyone think Martinez will do at Everton? I think he's done too much for us for us to hold too much ill-will. I do worry that he is over-relying on Wigan players (or maybe the papers are over-relying on them for their gossip). He's signed two and he's been linked with McCarthy now. To be honest, if there was anyone to sign I would go for that Mcmanaman. Really took charge in the cup final.
I keep thinking about poor old Dorus. After 2 relegations with Wolves he's now moved to Forest and still isn't the first choice keeper. What a disastrous turn of events in his career. If he'd stayed with us he would certainly have been first-choice keeper in the Prem under Brendan, maybe not so under Laudrup, but at least he would have had the Tremmel role and some glory.
rooney going nowhere... suarez going nowhere... Bale to leave..... Both rooney and suarez wont be allowed to go because the clubs wont give to their rivals. Bale is allowed to move because he will be moving foreign.. tells a story that..
How about Bale to Madrid Ronaldo to Utd Rooney to Chelsea Suarez to Spurs Arsenal with nobody That would make one hell of a window. Also interesting that Valencia is no longer wearing the Utd number 7 jersey.
Norwich look a safer bet this year ,perhaps not 'exciting" but solid > They've got their direct replacement for Holt in Gary Hooper in more ways than one , just hope he's not as effective against us as Holt was
It would appear that Brenda is going to have to whistle for his apology off Saurez http://www1.skysports.com/football/...plans-to-apologise-as-transfer-saga-continues
Well what did he expect. Did he really think a player who believes that Rodgers and the club have broken their promises, would apologies

He'd be a good signing for them - he really needs to give up on the massive clubs and go about playing games. I wouldn't be disappointed if we got him - could possibly do with one more winger if Poz is going to be intent on cutting inside too much.
ffs brenda is at it again brenda should be the last 1 to talk about club loyalty http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-brendan-rodgers-stands-firm-over-luis-suarez
Agreed. Maybe now he will know how we felt when he left us, took allen and derailed the Gylfi deal (although we can happily turn round and say now that is was the best thing that happened to us because it brought in Laudrup and Michu and Chico etc). He's also done this with his players at Liverpool by humiliating Carroll by not giving him a chance and the way in which he loaned Reina to Napoli without informing him of his plans to do so. I'm just glad we are well rid of the clown
Were we blinded by loyalty when he was with us or has Rodgers always been this much of an arse? So glad they way things turned for us so I don't miss him. I do feel that Martinez deserves a break now but many will still be feeling sore about it. I think he will do well at Everton just to stay roughly where they were last season. I think the Rooney to Chelsea thing will happen, Suarez will go, and Madrid almost always get their man so Bale to go there. Ronaldo to Man Utd? That is the big question mark for me.
Brendan he cant do right for wrong...what are you going to call laudrup when he leaves for a bigger club. I dread to think..
The difference is Dai, that Michael Laudrup won't come out and say that he has no interest in Liverpool/won't be going there only for him to sign 2-3 days later etc. We all know Laudrup is destined for one of the massive clubs, i.e. Utd, Barca and Madrid type clubs, we just need to enjoy him being here while it lasts.
Holt was a massive player for us from League1 up to The Prem.He would have scored far more last season if he had the service.Would not be at all surprised to see Wigan back up on his goals.
