Not often I agree with Mitch but this is spot on , so I think just maybe its time to move on for him and us ! Still think he has made a big error in judgement though!
West Brom have made a 4 million bid for Vydra...which I doubt Udinese would accept. In the WO the agent was talking about West Ham being interested...is there anyone left in the Premier league Vydra's agent hasn't said "he'd like to join" Anyway West Brom have Anelka so Vydra wouldn't be certain of starting..
Jon Marks ‏@jonmarks72 1h Udinese have submitted their 25 man squad to UEFA for their Europa League 3rd qualifying round tie & it includes Matej Vydra. Settles the argument I suppose.
It suggests that unless they get a silly money offer for him he will stay at Udinese, if Udinese do not qualify for Europa League proper they may think again as getting Watford promoted would be their major aim then i guess.
Emanuele Giulianelli ‏@EmaGiulianelli 6m A very important man in Udinese staff: "Will Vydra go away?" "For now he is in EuropaLeague list, then we will see...We have now 43 players, of course someone will go away!"
Very interesting that he has been included in the Udinese list for Europa League, I thought the Pozzo's said he would be back at Watford this season. Not looking good for taking them on their word! Zola, will be preparing on what he has, not what he might have. Just hope that the new boys can contribute to the goal tally (scoring or assists) to eclipse the goals he may have scored! What planet are WBA on when Udinese have already reportedly turned down 8 Million??? If he does go there though there is a good possibility we could wave to him too as we pass each other next May
I won't judge the Pozzo's too harshly if Vydra doesn't come back. It's obvious his agant wants him to move to a bigger club in the Prem (Or German league), and Guidolin wants him for his own cause at Udinese. You can't force a player to somewhere he doesn't want to be and could be a disruptive influence if he was. Of course we don't know Vydra's view of things... but if he wanted to be at Watford, he would already be here. Seeing who we have signed, he must know we have a great chance of going up and a chance of playing Prem football next season - but an extra season in the Championship is not on his agenda!
Decided I don't want him back. That won't change anything though, obviously. We have enough firre power without a wantaway in our squad. Like Mitch pointed out.
Now let us see, Vydra's agent has been a little mute for past couple of weeks, may be we will get an about turn by him wanting to jump on our band wagon if we continue our early season results in that he might think Vydra's stock could rise further if Watford are around the top of league when the transfer window comes to a close. I would love to know the Pozzo's thoughts on him and his future. I also wonder if GFZ would welcome him back under similar curcumstances as last season and if Udinese themselves wish to keep him for their benefit League/Europe. I for one do not see him coming back this season.
He's becoming a loan Baggie it would seem.... http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/spo...ws/west-bromwich-albion-transfer-news-5696361 I wonder how much flak they will kop from all and sundry....
I beleive the Pozzos were adamant, Vydra would not leave for any other club than Watford as a Loan Player and stipulated a fee of £8m minimum
Correct me if I am wrong but have Udinese not already had an 8 Million pound bid tabled which they turned down??
http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/west-brom-set-sign-striker-5698049 http://labottegadelcalciofilo.com/2013/08/12/vydra-didnt-sign-for-wba/ Is this the first time that the agent has said that Vydra is NOT signing for someone? I wonder if he thought he had something set up, then was told by the Pozzos to take a walk.?
Forget the Premier League, the best thing Vydra could do for his career is get a new agent, period!!!
I totally agre and if he does it soon enough I suspect he will still get a good welcome from most fans. Whilst we would all have liked him to sign on the dotted line immediately, if indeed that was on offer, you can't realy blame the lad for wanting to play in the Premier league. If he comes back and doesnlt really apply himself then, of course, that's a different affair altogther.
http://isport.blesk.cz/clanek/fotba...west-brom-verim-ze-se-prosadi-rika-bilek.html Seems to suggest that he has signed for WBA. Love the line "..Bilek sees otter migration as a positive step.."
