I like Sharp outright goalscorer but something tells me Jay Simpson would fit into the team we are building better, can play out wide if we needed to go with wingers and fast. And won't cost us anything to get him here.
If we sign Anthony Malbon he would be a development player this year at best and we might even loan him back to Kiddeminster for the rest of the season but with a recall clause if we had serious injury problems I can't see him being bought as a first choice striker yet.

13 Aug 2013 20:01:37 Bristol City have agreed to sign both Neil Danns and Billy Sharp on loan. Each of the player's respective clubs will pay 50% of their wages. City have also renewed interest in Crawley centre back Kyle McFadzean after conceding five goals against Coventry on Sunday.
He played all of their first two games - one league and one cup - and the last 6 minutes this last weekend's league match as a sub. Sounds like they are bringing him back gently.
Which would make sense they like us won't really know how fit he is until he has played several games in quick succession. However I would have prefered it if they gave Williams a go before spending on another player though perhaps it is if we don't buy now we have to wait until January.

Nicky Maynard is in talks with Bristol City over a possible loan move until the January transfer window.
Shouldn't this now be re-titled "FANTASY FOOTBALL THREAD" cos can't see any of the daft suggestions, although being a Bristol City fan I am daft enough to hold out hope that Danns and Sharp do sign (that just goes to show how sad and stupid I have become after 50 years)
And yet you are still believing that Billy Sharp might be signing There is probably more truth that Maynard would join over Sharp and that's no truth
