I hope someone tells the southern press that our name isn't changing, YET. I can imagine Talk ****e referring to us as Hull tigers for the foreseeable future.
It is now being suggested from some quarters that the removal of the word City from the Clubs name is a further attack by Pappa Allam on the City Council - the need to expand the brand name internationally being clearly a smokescreen. I personally know that certain members of the OSC have been deeply scarred by the actions of the Allams. The likes of the CEO Nick Thompson and James Mooney Marketing Director have been placed in almost untenable positions and I do feel for them. First we have the spat with the CC about 'buying' the KC and the threat of relocating to Melton, then the issue about removing Hull FC photographs from the KC and now this. The Allams have demonstrated to be unfit to look after the interests on this proud Football Club and the sooner they sell up the better.
I disagree, the Allams seem hampered by Garachtysaurus. ALL the council are bothered about is making money, it would be interesting to see how services would be affected if funding from the KC was cut off. "my cancer scan has been put back 10 weeks, but yay I have a football club"
Don't forget the sacking of Barmby. The Allam's came in on a high with saving our football club and since then it's been bumbling incompetence all the way in a dive to the bottom.
Do I have to remind you that Kingston Communications was floated on the stock exchange in order for the council to get cash? I guess so.............. oh dear why do you think its called the KC? fondness over the 11th and 3rd letter of the alphabet?
You have a strange understanding of the term "a dive to the bottom". Since they've come in, we still have a club, we've got a way better manager than Barmby would ever have been and we've been promoted. Feels more like a dive to the top than a dive to the bottom. You might also like to recall that when they did come in, there wasn't exactly a long queue of other people willing to come in. If they do eventually sell up, it's likely to be to the sort of organisation or individual you lot would soon baulk at, and rightly so. They helped us out for the right reasons, the next owner will not have ANY of your or mine interests at heart at all. Even with the odd PR gaffe, they're still the best owners we've ever had, and I suspect, likely to have.
I thought this was always the case? Allam just wants to refer to you as Hull Tigers, in a way to promote your identity abroad. Your name wasn't ever going to change in England.
And I always thought cancer scans were via the NHS and central government funding not the City Council. This site is so informative.Spending £45m on the stadium seems a bizarre way of making money.Not.
If the Allam's hadn't come in we would have been put into administration and then there would have been plenty of interest.
This is all as clear as mud I feel for the poor Singaporean kid trying to make a knock off shirt Coz I don't know what we are called anymore , what chance for the Yoof in Asia !
