I assume you have watched Twitter and now realise how tacky your new name is. Even on the news people canât keep a straight face. "Hull City is irrelevant" "My dislike for the work 'City' is because it is common.â âCity is a lousy identity.â I am proud of Hull City whatever you may think. One day the club will be owned by people who understand football. Then we will be called âHull City AFCâ yet again. The fans will look on your ownership in the same way as the crooks we had earlier. Itâs a pity that you had to do this after you generously saved the club. "As has always been the case, supporters remain free to refer to the club as they wish, whether that be Hull City, City, Tigers, Black and Amber, or indeed any other variant of the Clubâs name. Iâve never heard such pompous rubbish for a long time. We donât need your permission to refer to the club by any name and it certainly wonât be âHull Tigersâ or âHull City Tigersâ. That will remain the preserve of other clubs fans who wish to ridicule the club. Because of your decision many Hull City fans will not be buying any merchandise from the club. You will soon realise how ridiculous your idea is that people internationally will be impressed by âHull Tigersâ. Even the Americanâs are laughing at the name. People donât support a club because of the name. People support a club because of passion and tradition and they donât get that from âhere today gone tomorrowâ owners who donât have a clue. Nick Thompson is totally discredited after he lied to the Hull Daily Mail. The fans will not believe a word he says. Please realise you have got it totally wrong and reverse this decision before it does great damage to a proud Association Football Club.
I would urge people to email the Allam's. I don't think they understand what they are doing. People shouldn't boycott matches and they should still support the team during matches. At all other times we should make our displeasure known. Obviously, fans who are happy with the name change will act like nothing has happened and may even sing some songs incorporating our new name.
you can tell it's the off season. some people have nowt better to do. yeah go and piss in the wind, see if you'll get anywhere. I suppose it makes you feel like a real fan.
Too late. It's gone. I think the meaning is clear. A previous regime had a criminal involved and I'm not saying the Allam's are crooks but that they will be disliked. It would be interesting if they tried to sue me!
I've read what you have been saying and none of it makes sense so I didn't expect any logic from you now.
Managing director Nick Thompson, meanwhile, urged supporters "to judge it in the fullness of time". You've been judged already fella..
The people who support the name change will not be the fans that sing, so there'll be no incorporation of the new name in any songs. I coin today 'Black Friday'.
I have a feeling that there was no such consultation as they had a good idea what the reaction would be like and they wouldn't get everyone dancing to their tune.
Dear Peter **** off whining you pretentious twat. No one calls the club afc so frankly go gives a ****. Btw, I'll have a word with our lawyers on Monday and get them to get your details so they can send a nice letter to you regarding your offensive and defamatory comments. Much obliged Peace The owners Ps you're a cock
You'll have to try a lot harder if you think I care what you think. Try using a bit of logic next time.
Sadly there's nothing wrong with my comprehension skills. There is however, a lot wrong with your writing skills if you think comparing them to the previous crooks isn't anything other than calling them crooks too. I realise that's probably not what you meant, however that is what it reads like, and from that point, comparing them to previous crooks, you lose all credibility.
