Hi fellow red/white stripes, I have a question regarding the purchase of tickets. I'm a Dutch football supporter (I support PSV home and away) who has a soft spot for visiting throughout the UK. I recently finished my degree in the UK at the University of Plymouth and on 17 September I have my ceremony. For that reason two fellow PSV fans/friends will travel with me to join that ceremony and making a long weekend of this. We booked flight tickets to Manchester and will make a roadtrip to the South. The thing is, we purchased flight tickets to Manchester because this was a perfect time to say goodbye to our former left back Erik Pieters, someone who I have great respect for. The mighty problem is Stoke plays Man City at home. Probably not any restriction would have applied to get tickets if it was i.e. Southampton but now we have a little problem like it sounds. I looked up Stoke has some membership packages for 20 GBP with 2 guest tickets for 5 GBP each. I guess I know the answer (...No) already but might this be a solution for me to get 3 tickets for the Man City home fixture? Buying a Stoke membership (already registered ourselves as Club Member on the website, so we have individual accounts already) and buying 3 tickets for that specific match? Anyway, any help regarding this would be appreciated! Please please do not think I have anything to do with Man City. This is just a perfect time to visit Stoke City for the first time (for the ones interested: www.ronus-groundhopping.nl) and saying goodbye to Erik Pieters (already had contact with him via Twitter so a meeting was already agreed!). Cheers for the ones who'll reply this post. Hope to see you!
And apologies for the horrible Dutch, but if I don't practice I'll never get better! If it's completely unintelligible, I'd be happy to write it out again in English!
THAT would be a great help to me Peadar, I only speak English and gibberish. TBH, I don't have a clue what that say's.
Essentially that the £5 tickets with the silver and gold memberships are only for certain selected games, not your Man Cities or Chelseas, but that if you're signed up on the website, you can usually find tickets for most games if you're not too fussy about having the best seats in the house, or if you don't mind being scattered around the ground away from your mates because there were only single seats left after the gold and silver members, and the season ticket holders have had first pick. Edit: At least, I think that's what I wrote, like I said, my Dutch is lousy!
All match day tickets can be purchased online here - http://www.scfcdirect.com/events.aspx?section=eve
Van Season Ticket holder en Gold Members?(not sure what you mean by the latter part of the sentence). How's that?
Thanks mate! Like I said, my Dutch is crap, but it won't get better unless I give it a go and make mistakes! Word order is pretty difficult, especially when you have a few verbs and tenses and everything shunts to the end of a sentence!
Haha, did not except an answer in Dutch! Even don't know if it is best for the I respond in Dutch or English. Let's keep it in English if any others might want to respond. Yesterday my patience was over and I decided to call Stoke City Ticket Office and got myself and my two friends a Silver Membership for 20 GBP. With the 40 GBP ticket on top of that the match can be better a good one Got tickets for block 20 row 9 if I remember well. How's the parking at the Brittania? Guess we arrive around 1pm with a rental car.
I think parking is difficult around the Brit, I usually park at a friend's flat and walk down the canal, but once parked here: http://goo.gl/maps/53EiE in the caravan place. They charge a few pounds, and keep the car safe for you. Other than that, this website is great for information: http://www.footballgroundguide.com/stoke_city/
Ronus at the Trentham end of Stanley Matthews Way there is an housing estate. Park on there (sensibly) and walk up to the Britt along Stanley Matthews Way. It's where I park and it's a nice brisk flat walk and by the time you are back to your motor the queues have usually gone. Good luck mate
That sounds even better Waddos. Thanks for your help. Is it this you mean: Trentham Trade Park Stanley Matthews Way, Stoke-on-Trent ST4 8GA, Verenigd Koninkrijk
As you turn onto Stanley Matthews Way from the Trentham end you have a pub called the Hem Heath. Just past that is an Aldi supermarket. Go past both until you hit a roundabout in the road. Turn left at the roundabout and onto the housing estate. Park safely on there and for free. It's a nice walk to the ground then, so long as it's not raining ;-) please log in to view this image
Waddo, I see that gypsies decided to park on teh south car park? Police said it was Vale fans on holiday!
Ha ha probably was Potts lol!!! They parked on the Whitebridge estate close to our unit. The businesss owner had to pay them £1000 to get them gone. The easiest £1000 they will have earned!
