Suspect it'll be re-introduced WHEN we get back into the premiership again and we're invaded by plastics
Just send everybody who was at the Rochdale game a special badge that they can sew on to their shirt.
I always thought memberships were a good idea, living in London and being a student its simply not financially possible to buy a season ticket, seeing as train tickets and travel is around 45 quid every time i go down. The membership was a good chance for me to get tickets to games and also be second priority for all away tickets coming out
"Perhaps they should introduce an anger management unit on this forensic course of yours." yeah they do, its a punch bag with your face on it.
What about a discount for those of us who travel over 100 miles each way for a home game. Where does it end? Free ticket if you have toothache and still went to the game? Pay for 2 seats if you have a fat @rse? 1/2 price if your wife told you no but you went anyway? We are a top championship side and looking to build for promotion. It costs. Or keep it cheap, make a loss, go into administration again? No thanks. I won't get a season ticket because I can't get to many home games but those I do attend will cost me at least £100 each. Roll on Bristol City away
Law with History: Proper degree But I also have no money so if anyone would like to buy me a season ticket that'd be nice. I'll buy you a pint. Cheers.
I'm sorry if I offended any students out there. I did my degree in 1997 so I know how tough it can be for some students - I was working approx 30 hrs a week to pay a mortgage so It wasn't an ignorant comment however I also saw plenty of the other type who could afford to take out the student loans, put them in high interest accounts and take the interest as profit after 3 years. £10 a week put away for a year would pretty much pay for any season ticket - that's about 3 pints of Stella so I think it ultimately comes down to priorities rather than economics. I do a 100 mile round trip for every home game on top of all the other costs but as I love watching the Saints I spend my money on it. Everybody's situation is different, and some can cope easier than others with football's rising costs it's just life I'm afraid.
True, but then a lot of students who support Saints were born in Soton, and since gone to uni AWAY from the city, which adds on travel expenses etc (not unlike your own trip). For example for me to get back adds another twenty five quid for the train, and that's with a rail card. That or it's just me.
Rory has a point, Getting back and forth from a home game costs me alot more than the ticket itself , that's even with the rail card discounts. The only students i meet who have it nice is ones that come from a rich background and have their sugar daddy parents pay for everything, If you're living on student loan then you actually have to be very tight, Otherwise how else are you going to afford all the Drink and Drugs?
