I have heard it is possible to watch Swansea training at Landore! We would like to visit during the school holidays and perhaps get an autograph. Has anyone any advice, is this possible and what time should you turn up Etcetera? As we sing during the games 'I just canât get enough' for me it is literal!
Others may have better advice but since no-one has replied I'll pass on my experience from the end of last season when it was just coming into use. If you walk from the Liberty stadium along the footpath on the west bank of the Tawe you'll come across the training ground. There's high wire netting so you can't get in but you can view from the outside. If you want to try and get in through the main entrance then turn off the A4067 into Beaufort Road (where there is a light industrial estate). Then the training ground is on the right hand side. But I've not tried this so don't know what security is like! From 10:00 onwards.
I know a lot of my mates have been down the training facilities and had photos taken.with the players and had autographs no.problems whatsoever
I know you can watch them train from the footpath between the river and Academy , but whether you can get past the large security guy is another matter. You certainly can't get close to the Academy players when training but thats not say you won't get autographs when the players have finished and are leaving.
You can only get Autographs when they are going in or coming out! you can have mine anytime!.................
Yep, ditto. Welcome Jacen to the Mad House. We do have a lot of newbies, looking promising. Nice to get get some new blood on the forum.
Also, what is DP referring to when he says "you can have mine anytime" ?? Something you want to tell us Phil (or were the wums right in Phylis ?!)
The new RGB Landore facility is well worth a visit before the shrubs and bushes prevent viewing. It really is a fantastic development for our club considering we used to train down Ashley and the Glam. Amazing how well the club is progressing. I also went to the new development down Fairwood a few weeks back, that is looking even more impressive.
