Agree with you on him being handy coming off the bench.
Just a quick thought regarding the flak White is getting, according to the Sun (yeah the gospel of truth) he made the two goals and did enough to impress Maccer to keep his place...

Well if Austin plays anywhere near as well as he did against Shels(yes a poor L.O.Ireland side) he will be brilliant. His passing was pinpoint, his break up of play in midfield and defense and setting up attacks outstanding.

I'd definitely bring Austin back into the team. I'd still like us to lean towards having wide men though, not right now maybe but come the end of the window hoepfully. Diouf could fill one of those position with White and Hall being cover but we'd need to sign at least one wide man for this to be a quality option. I still think Hall has a part to play and I don't think we can judge whether or not to get rid of him based on him not playing against Chesterfield

I like the midfield of Austin Green and Murphy, but I don't like Ross on the wing personally, think he loses some of his edge. I'd also have a few concerns about Varney being upfront on his own, but that's definitely more the kind of formation I'd like to see rather than the diamond <ok>

LID, I think those front 3 roam around alot meaning that none of them really have a set position. It makes them hard to defend because all 3 naturally like to drift wide and then back in again off the ball, if you was to play Smith then I think he is a bit more set in where he plays and doesn't get that same roaming effect

Nah, I think there was a time when I'd have given that a go on the basis that the ball hardly ever went in with Varney in the box. But I'm starting to like Kenny as a keeper these days so I'm happy to go with BMD on this one! :emoticon-0116-evilg

Granted this team is crying out for a Snoddy/Gradel (or both!) but needs must. I do agree with your point on McCormack not being best out wide, I'm thinking just wider than Varney but not out and out wingers, more inside forwards coming in from the corner of the 18 yard box, not leaving Varney too unsupported. Essentially a 4-3-3 (or 4-1-2-3) as opposed to a 4-5-1. Granted these formations are muchly similar

Fair enough, Kenny has saved us in the last two games to be fair. I was hoping we'd get rid of Warnocks mates, but they all seem to be playing well..:emoticon-0148-yes:

Yeah, I think we could probably have some joy with a 4-3-3 with a narrow front 3. Hunt, Ross, Varney, Poleon could all cause problems, and Smith could be used to pose a very different problem if we needed it

Leicester don't like it physical so Austin in Centre Mid would be a good idea tho

Yea they do tend to have quite a lightweight team, I reckon he has to start. Adds a lot more than the likes of Tonge and Green (although I'm a pretty big fan of Green these days)

I don't think it matters where McCormack appears on paper on the teamsheet. Tell him to go look for work knowing that Poleon, Varney, or whover else is picked will be on the end of any shots that McCormack makes that the keeper saves.
