Is this another season of team building and trying to get the right formula?

Are we going to challenge for a cup?

Where will we come in the league?

id be happy with a 10th-15th place finish and a strong challenge for either of the cups (rate that at about quarters)

Also would like to see some more come in during january to be part of the Revolution, possibly (if the fullbacks and creative cm spots are filled) a left winger with it looking like McClean is off and a defender…

Most interesting the start of a season has been in my lifetime as i have no idea what to expect!

Cup run, not having to think about relegation, perhaps inside the top 10

A decent fa cup run and a lower to mid table will do me. I think we'll be safe so league position is irrelevant to me really. What I'm expecting/hoping for is a change in attitude. 110% every game from every player, a never say die attitude, heads up when the chips are down, A professional example off the field as well as on it. A team we can at last connect with again with the common ground of passion for the game and the club.

I have no problem losing a game if you are well beaten, even by Hull, Crystal Palace etc (no dis-respect) as long as the attitude and playing style is vastly improved.

There will be some struggles ahead this season but we have to get through them as our long term future looks great with PDC's coaching skills and Di Fanti and his crew of scouts and of course the unsung hero in Ellis Short.

Top 10 and a cup run. Oh.... And to not be seen as the laughing stock of the league (Mr Suarez is helping us with this aim)

A top 10 finish and a decent cup run has to be our target, anything short of that would show a lack of ambition. I'd be happy with that, couldn't face yet another relegation battle and i'm sick of all this rebuilding work every transfer window, why oh why can we not be steady and slowly progress?

Mr Di Canio, if you read these boards, please get us into the top half and get Mr Short to shell out a few more quid and build us a team that will fill the SOL, that to me would mean progress.

Main thing for me is no relegation hassles and a settled season around mid table (10th - 15th is fine). Reckon we are rebuilding and gelling this season so not expecting a great deal but, a half decent cup run as the OP says quarters ish would be nice.

Call me optimistic but I want the double. Champions and fa cup...

Before I get slated as a wum I am joking... no fear of relegation would do me and id be over the moon to finish inside top ten with a decent cup run.

It would be nice though wouldnt it..

A goal from Altidore but a ball in to him first would be nice, a sloppy 2nd half in Denmark tonight, Colback is ridiculous, gets booked then lunges in and gets sent off, Larsson has lost it, Cuellar is no better from last season. I hope this team improves or we are about the same as last season Garrinchini and sess the best players again, but there needs to more passing from sess in the area. League cup draw tonight, and we don't want Leicester or Leeds away, Barnsley at home thanks.

Try and win the league. It's not going to happen but aim high and then see where we end up. Go to win every cup too with the same thinking.

We have to get into a winning mind set.

Strong at home; try to win games; take the cups serious.

Above all, have some fun as the last 2 or 3 years or so have been ****ing awful to watch.
