You can see the similarity between this and the Huddersfield v Hull game :- in one there was expected to be trouble between the two sets of fans, in the Wrexham/Chester game they expect a confrontation between the two fans.
A fleet of taxis at a Wrexham petrol station? At least there is some history between these two, but the kick off had already been moved to 1.00 pm and seems ridiculously over the top again.
Same as our game against Huddersfield, you can't travel directly to the ground using your own transport, you have to go in official coaches, you have to meet at a pre-arranged car park/services to collect the tickets and be escorted into and out of the ground.
Ah ok. A total crock of **** then. Well the fans have my support anyway. After how we were treated last season, I'll gladly support anybody going through the same. Did anybody else think the policing at Barnsley away was a bit intense too?
Makes you wonder how many riots etc in the past would simply not have happened if the Police had not turned up en mass to "stop" them. Ask anyone who was at Grunwick. Why can't they just stick to their core activities like batoning innocent newspaper vendors, and leave the rest of us in peace?
I was in Chester recently (lovely city) and Wrexham is about 4 miles away, roughly. Ridiculous you can't just drive down there, catch public transport or even walk that distance. They just do it to piss people off and show they're in charge.
