Well then...... that will be why we didn't realise he was on the pitch - except we did hear his name over the tannoy as MOTM - (I'm not making that up ) - however I did notice that although we have been told the tannoy system has been fixed, it was still hard to hear.
No that wasn't bird, I'd have noticed that and started signing Surfin' Bird (maybe). Can't remember who it was though. Also the volume of the music seemed to vary. At half time it was much louder and the volume it should have been all the time. Pre-match it was a bit quiet still, but just about possible to make it out. Also, it seems they've dumped Elbow.
It was a very good song, and I certainly would have been happy for them to keep it. Another good choice would be Hall of Fame by the Script. Or even better, First Steps!!!!! Can't even recall what they played just before the players came on (before Mike Oldfield)

He's just made his competitive debut against Bornmuff as a sub. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2WNrx2jq184&gl=GB&hl=en-GB
Hmm, I may have to give up this footy punditry, just like Lawro! Maybe , I could try weather forecasting, they always get it wrong, although usually cover themselves with a 'changeable' caviat
hi pompey fans, just a note of good luck on hopefully a quick return up the leagues, I remember the late 70s when you were in the bottom division and as sad stato I remember seeing the big crowds you were getting. I love the positive fans who don't moan about what you had etc, been to pompey many times, love the passion in you guys, and thank god when we needed to win against you 4-5 years ago, it was your last game before your cup final and you never really tried, so we stayed up. it I ever won the lottery and won many millions, I would buy pompey fc, such a special place in my heart. look how much you loved Milan, all the best
Nice words - thank you. We are hoping, but not expecting, to get out of this league pdq - but if not this year, then next. That is going up..... not down another level You know what Pompey is like........... it's a rollercoaster ride for sure.
sure is a rollercoaster ride, now its got to be on the up, we were down there in the mid 90s, I remember in 1995 we lost away to torquay they were 92nd and we were 91st I kid you not, so it can be done
I think we were the first English club to drop from the top flight to the bottom and get back again. I bet no one has done it twice....
Didn't Northampton do something like that?......Won their way up from the then 4th division in consecutive seasons almost, then eventually won div 1 then promptly went all the way back down again? They eventually came back up but am not sure they got back into the top flight.
I am still predicting a win for the 'New Forest Pony Fiddling Club Members', so maybe that will put the mockers on them, whilst we do the opposite of my previous prediction against Morecombe!
Not how it works. You're going to have to start a new thread praising Saints while predicting a win (or a title, if you want to cover your bases), and hinting at the bestiality preferences of Pompey supporters while predicting a loss. You'd do it if you really cared about your team, SB3.
"With regard to Dorset rivalries, I think the one between Weymouth and Dorchester is probably the biggest." Maybe Ian, but Poole v Wimborne is a veritable maelstrom! For what it's worth I think the Skates will unfortunately go up this season, though I do hope not. Was at the BoMo/Skates game can't work out the anti-Surman vitriol from the blue few whilst at the same time kissing Connollys arse?
