Very good keeping but it was a poor penalty. I felt like the kick taker didn't believe she could score from the look in her eyes

Despite the predictable result, I feel this game was a good advert for women's football.

Decent final from the 2nd half I saw. Agree with Duckhunter about the BBC and a responsibility to promote female sports and the benefit it would be especially to cynics if that sport was one without a prominent male equivalent such as Netball.

TOWIE proves that you can stick any old **** on tv and people will watch it. The terrestrial channels & especially the BBC may face more competition and choice but with marketing they can still influence and generate interest

That's why I like Euro Sport, they show other random sports and events. Though it seems to be mostly tennis atm. I think I'm all tennised out after Wimbledon.

More political correctness from the BBC, as some women takes over the football results.

FFS, who wants to hear a nagging voice when listening to this important information, it's not right.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2385448/Charlotte-Green-replace-James-Alexander-Gordon-reading-BBC-classified-results--CHARLES-SALE.html?ito=feeds-newsxml

I dread to think how she got the job, look at the state of her. Personally. I think it's a reaction to the John Inverdale stuff.

Who listens to the classified results these days? A couple of old farts still ticking off their Littlewoods coupons?

If they are going to have a new voice, should be done by Chewbacca.

I think Charlotte Green has a fantastic voice and is ideal to read the classified results.

I'm bound to say that you Pepys do make modding slightly harder at times, because none of you really complain directly to us. We have to develop a 6th sense and hopefully interpret the feeling correctly.

Trouble is, you're all such a reasonable bunch that you just put up with people who obviously should be venting their spleens elsewhere. Or worse, you leave the forum yourselves.

Thats a pathetic decision to ban someone for that.

I don't agree with what he said, but it was clearly tongue in cheek.

Is it if the "clique" can't handle a different opinion, your days are numbered on here?

Everything he types is sexist bullshit. It's not just a "different opinion".

    But yeah, what Joe says.

It's not the difference in opinion. It's the manner in which he made that opinion known. His attitude was clearly at odds with the rest of forum. A more sensitive soul would have realised that his attitude was rubbing everyone up the wrong way and would either modify it or sod off. He chose to do neither. Instead he chose to wind people up because he gambled they were reasonable people who would take it uncomplainingly. Well, he was correct that they were reasonable people.
