Former Liverpool goalkeeper David James said Liverpool can achieve top four finish without Luis Suarez . And I totally agree with him. Thank you spice boy !.
The pace of ex-Liverpool players coming out & saying it's time for the club to move on & get rid, is growing by the day - anyone would think it's part of a softening up process
No, it's the death throes of the story. No facts. No quotes. The worthless opinions of hacks have been rehashed so many times no one cares any more. Time to bring in the celebrity opinions. The next stage will be a public opinion poll. The final stage is the journalists trying to claw back some respect by wondering whether the story was even real in the first place or just typical transfer madness (by other journalists of course).
......And Arsene Wenger CAPITALISED on the situation. Arsenal manager has not been helpful. Other clubs in Europe are scared of Suarez baggage
There's been plenty of ex-rs players coming out in recent days & saying it's time Liverpool got rid, both in the press & on the radio, seems a bit contrived to me like.
In the absence of any further information coming out of Arsenal, Liverpool, the player or his agent, and with the only other 'big' story running being the Wazza 'move' to Chelsea, hacks are casting about looking for a way to write a quick, cheap piece to fill the pages. Grabbing ex-players meets this criteria. Nothing more to it than that, I'd say, given the club's consistent statement that L'Arse offer of £40mil is below market price.
Pretty sure Liverpool don't go phoning up David James, asking him to share his opinion just so the fans are happier if Suarez jumps ship to Real (Not Arsenal, he won't end up there)...
Maybe not, but when a few that are still on the payroll start chirping then you can guarantee that it's contrived. So when John "sound as a pound" starts piping up, you can get ready to burn your Suarez shirt mate.
If "Standard Chartered" is replaced by any other name apart from "Emirates"...surely I would keep my shirt.
sorry tobes but aldo burned a few bridges with comments made last year. keep trying but.. but hey... is it true you bid for alderweireld and if so do you think he considers you bigger than norwich?
Really? How many of the past quarter of a century have LFC been a serious Title contender? 4? 5? Top four would be a giant leap forward for you right now. The original title of the thread initially made me consider which Club might make way for Liverpool enter the Champions League places, and it would take not one but two major failures, Tottenham are a threat to Arsenal, but are Liverpool a threat to either, never mind both? Not for me.
Aldridge is still on LFC TV though isn't he? ergo still on the payroll............. No idea about Alderweireld, his agent says we're in for him & that the player fancies it. The deal might have legs as we're desperate to offload Sheitinga & a return to Ajax (where he was idolised) might suit all concerned. The lad is class btw, I'd be delighted if we pulled off his signature.
I think Suarez will have a bad affect on the team if we keep him against his will. Some people say he has a good attitude to the game but I don't really agree, he spends a lot of time complaining and just being a pest on the pitch but for me a good attitude on the pitch would be someone who just gets on with the game and does not spend most of the game complaining or diving.
