I think we are doomed to fail and there is no chance at all (said in best Mr T voice)

Yes before the end of the window, however I imagine it will be an underwhelming one. Some relatively unknown 17 year old French Ligue 2 player.

City is already a loss IMO.

Might as well focus on the 4 games after.

I know it's a poor attitude to have, but I see us getting raped no matter who we have in the side. Dzeko and Negredo look like an immense pair of strikers, and they also now have Silva back on form and Navas on the wing who is as good of a crosser as Giggs but with Pace.

I'm sure you'll get one just not before the season starts (same as us) <ok>

Right everyone register the same vote as last time, wear the same underpants etc etc. Never change a winning formula.

I voted no but my actual prediction is we have a second striker on the books just not in time to play.

    (And I'm still commando)

Can you imagine Tash wearing the same underpants more than once?

The absolute best time to play a big side is on the first day, gives you your best shot at a win. Look at Spurs last season - who'd have thought heading into match two we were likely to get involved in a relegation scrap 35 games later....

Don't want to be playing in a relegation battle on the last day of the season and being a nervous wreck till the final whistle goes.

I don't see Gomis making it here as it sounds like his agents are simply taking the p**s.

Got a funny feeling that Bent will turn up... not sure how much of a good thing that will be for us, or him, but yeah... Darren Bent.

It was interesting to see that the odd Mackems are still taking an interest and participating in the Poll.

Closet Geordies, just won't admit it.

Normally I'd agree but I suspect we'll be meeting a Citeh side in a honeymoon period of a new manager, with full strength resources and a point to prove. I think we'll be lucky to escape an absolute mauling. They were 5-0 vs AC Milan after half an hour until they eased off the gas. I'd rather have had any other game to be honest.
