Arrived at Sunderland during the winter transfer window, Alfred N'Diaye quickly became a place in the starting lineup of Black Cats, playing almost all team meetings. But surprise, as he is taxed at his post, the midfielder was loaned for a season in Turkey, Eskişehirspor. The consequence of the arrival of a new coach, Paolo Di Canio, head of the team. But while the British media reported a quarrel between the two men to explain this departure in the form of a loan, the former player Nancy denied this information. If N'Diaye, freshly picked by Alain Giresse to defend the colors of Senegal is party loan is only for maximum playing time "I'm at an age where I need to play. It (di Canio, ed) could not guarantee me playing time so I was hoping it was decided all of my loan and I made the choice of Turkey, "he told us the midfield Afrik-Foot.

Tbf at least he is going for the right reasons if this article is true

Hopefully can come back and be an improved player…however I dont see much of a future at our club for him unfortunately

I liked Alfie, but I did think he was a work in progress, he was a million miles off the finished product. Good luck to the lad in Turkey

To leave for these reasons is either a good thing or a naive thing. If he wants first team football he gets it by being better in his position. Surely he should want that here, in a league watched all over the world, rather than in Turkey where, tbh, I've never watched a single Turkish league game.

He wants to play I understand but shouldn't he tell Paolo "OK then I'll make myself un-droppable" rather than saying "well I'm guaranteed football overe there so I'll take the easy option". Not really sure what to make if it

Very good point fella. Let's face it, the lack of desire to fight for his place will have been all Paolo needed to hear to know he's not right for our club. We're better off without. He clearly doesn't want to fulfill his potential so he's wasting our time.

My take is that he came and saw and **** himself, then took the easy option and went to Turkey. I think the EPL was probably a bit intimidating for him.

The lad was picking up his game and was standout against NUFC. Work in progress maybe, but the signs for rapid improvement and potential was there in enough abundance to persist with him.

I thought he came on fantastically well since Jan and he was doing really well by the end of the season. I thought he'd be a revelation this season - really disappointed that he went.

Granted he wasn't the finished product, but it's not as if we can sign Yaya Toure... If he was the finished product (ie maximised his huge potential) then he wouldn't be signing for us. If he doesn't make it, then it will be a bullet dodged... But if he does, and signs somewhere for £20m+, then we'll be gutted

much better than the other centre mids we have apart from Cabral.

Should have kept him for his performances against Everton and Newcastle alone. Stupid selling him!

I believe he has not been sold but has gone out on loan. Having been to Eskeshehir he should be back with us in about two weeks. It is not the greatest place on earth to live in.

He still looked very raw to me and a full season on loan in a very competitive league may develop him far better than bit parts here. If he does well we have an option to cash in big time; bring him back and play for us or leave him on loan longer. Whatever way it goes we are in control of the deal as Spurs were with Rose.

I'm not so sure Cest - I think someone on here mentioned that all overseas loan deals need to have a sale price agreed? If so, that means that if he does well, the Turkish club will have him signed up permanently... :(

I don't disagree but it was N'Diaye's decision to go as, from where I'm sitting, he wasn't willing to fight his nuts off for a starting place

£5m buy-out clause, standard in overseas loan deals apparently
