Just want to say what a fantastic BATES-FREE atmosphere at Elland Road today.
He only got a couple of brief mentions during the game, maybe we shouldnt have acknowledged him in any capacity.
Anyway, thats by the by, its history - like him!

I have been waiting 8 years for this game. And I have waited patiently to take my 6 year old to his first game at Elland Road - I'd be damned if I was going to take him while Bates was involved in our Club.
We had a brilliant afternoon, (just like the old days) & topped it off with a great victory.

Only downside was my lad cost me a fortune in the Club shop - but who cares?? Its not going into a certain persons pocket now!!

    Marching On TOGETHER!!

Bites, if you imagine the cost over 23 home games, it won't seem so bad.

I too went for the first time since BATESI refused to give him one penny.
I thought as a whole the lads played well I made Murphy my MOM others to mention Green Tongue McCormack worked his socks off and I THOUGHT THAT Smith made the goal and will be a force to be feared.Kenny made a couple of fine saves and the atmosphere was splendid MOT

My mate (who went with me & my lad) made a salient point during the game - the Kop were surprisingly quiet by their normal vociferous standards. Anyone else who went notice that? Or anyone in the Kop have a different view??
