Last season, we had several players who exceeded most people's expectations: Puncheon and Shaw to name a couple.

Who will be our surprise star this season?

Chambers for me. I'm expecting Ramirez Loren and lallana to do well so that won't be a surprise to me. Guly and Mayuka will improve but chambers could be the real surprise with Clyne apparently carrying an injury.

Omar Rowe. I don't think that he'll be a star, but I do believe that he'll force his way into the first team, with a regular role by the end of the year.

Adam for me....he had a stop start season last time but he is still a key player for us...his link up play with Rickie is great and i'm amazed at how so many fans have lost a bit of faith in him.

Think it could be next season for Rowe, for me he is a little too raw. Can see him getting the odd game but that's about it. But anything can happen in a season.

Not convinced he'll get that many games. We have Morgan, Wanyama, Cork and Davis who can play in his position.

Potentially, but if there's one area of the pitch that can tolerate a raw-but-talented player, it's the wing.

I dunno, but do you have any players from up North? 'Cause they can be your Northern Star

Not yet, but I reckon you are onto something. I know it was only Eastleigh, but when I went to watch that recent friendly I genuinely felt sorry for their LB.

100% this ... these will both break-through and have good years this year.

Yeah I've seen him a few times him, Targett, Moore are the next lot I think can make the first team squad.

I doubt Chambers will break through. He'd have to displace Clyne and I've not seen anything to suggest he will, nor have I heard anything from anyone who would know. Isgrove has a better chance but I'm not convinced he'll be more than a squad player.

The reason I say none is pretty much what Dan said. We're going to have the likes of Isgrove and Chambers in the squad, and they'll get some games, but they won't be particularly surprising. They'll just be decent squad players like they have been in our friendlies.

The only one I can think of is maybe Jordan Turnbull will exceed expectations.
