Wonder how he explains himself after being flown over by Ashley and then turning them down for QPR. Newcastle hope to sign Loic Remy from QPR on Monday in a £2m loan deal. Director of football Joe Kinnear also confirmed they remain in the hunt for Aston Villa's Darren Bent and hope to finalise terms with Lyon's Bafetimbi Gomis. Kinnear said: 'We're very very close to agreeing that (Remy). Maybe Monday or Tuesday we'll be in a position to say yea or nay.'
It's gone a bit quiet with us on the transfer front. Would like to get a couple more in before the wknd, but doesn't seem like any are close.
He is good but his Goal scoring record isnt exactly great:- http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loïc_Rémy
If they get bent to I can see the three strikers getting about 10 goals each. That's 30 valuable goals but at one hell of a collective cost.
He's got a few air miles out of Ashley. I reckon He's ****in them about again & he will sign for Boro
I don't know like, I get the feeling that a tactically clueless, one dimensional Pardew will be looking to play two up front next season in some magic attempt to get them free scoring. Managers like him are incapable of fine tuning and tend to change formation rather than make simple affective adjustments.
I think this is a great piece of business A player who turned the mags last year and now makes them sweat until there were no better offers coming in. Total mercenary and a potential gaol sentence hanging over him to boot. I hear G4S are looking to handle Remy and Bents' contracts.
Score loads of goals and all will be forgiven. The fickle nature of football (something of which I most definitely typify) makes this the case. In all honesty, both QPR and ourselves were not looking all that great in the league. As far as he was concerned we were probably about equal in terms of staying up so he chose the money. I am fine with that. He is a brilliant striker who will probably bad 10-15 for us. Gomis probably won't happen and apparently we are very keen on bringing Thomas Ince in. Remy, Ince and a CB would make this a perfect window. Last week, I was feeling very negative about this Summer. Who knew Joke could tell the truth at times
I've been on your board a few times saying Cisse isn't good enough to be your top striker. Do you reckon he'll try to force a January move if remy gets the nod ahead of him.
If we sign Gomis as well then perhaps this is the end of Cisse. Until then, Cisse will be first team for sure. Is he good enough? I think he is. One dodgy season does not make him crap
