I went to see a band called Rebel Sell in Greenbricks. The drummer is Burnsy's son. Thought they were ace.
PLT. Saw burnsy's tweep, about it. Messr: Burns is in Hull- ED-fringe & on route to Braunschweig. all at once.
I was was there all day. Superb event in a beautiful setting. Made me proud of our fine city. Suffices to say I was on the beer all day. We drank the minerva dry. Not even a drop of advocaat remained. Been hanging out my arse most of today. I've got plenty of pics and vids of the day. Don't know if they are any good wi me being pissed. I'll add some, along with any remaining memories, once I can be arsed to sort through them.
Trip le H. Minerva sold out all Draught & all bottled beers by 11p am. I was on the seatin. outside shlurin to a Beeb cameraman in a red Adidas track top. Filming . footage can b used.haha.
He he he I think I know who Hull Hell and Happiness is now by his description of the day, did you give me a 1904 city shirt in admiral last summer?
Saw Burnsie, Ashbee as well, very good event and some great bands, could have done with some flyers listing who was on which stage, and why can't Hull City Council support these events with free city centre car parking when they are on?
Was a great day! Just needed organising on the beer front! Hard work getting a drink (fail to prepare, prepare to fail) But some really good bands on! Bought my daughter a " patty buttie only in hull " tee shirt.
the beer front was shocking, only green bricks left selling bitter by evening time, ruscudors ran out as well....didnt have a clue what bands on where, ended up watching the last couple in green bricks(kismet riding ) who were decent, thought they should of spread the stages out a bit better instead of mostly all rammed down the one street...the city really ought to utilise the marina more...great place to have things going on! :]
I missed quite a few bands because i was in the queue for a drink in Green Bricks, Minerva & Fruit & Ruscadors. No wonder the beer sold out quick when everyone was taking two, three pints each time. Some great bands on.
