I will cancel my Sky subscription if Giroud is our main striker next season. Beyond dreadful. WTF do people see in him?
It's already been clear as daylight that we needed new signings, we always say this game should finally make Wenger want to make signings, if Wenger needs a friendly to make him realise we need signings, after last season, then he needs to get the **** out. Scrapping for fourth spot and ending 1 point above Spurs should be enough to have made Wenger realise we need major improvements.
Talksport commentator just said "Arsenal 8 year drought continues....they can't even win their own trophy" what a tosser
We had a good first half and tbh other than Drogba diving for the penalty we where comfortable. Then with all the changes we made we lost our rhythem which allowed them a couple of chances. Zelalem is very comfortable on the ball for his age. He is a very exciting propsect and i hope we see him in the LC this year. I think regardless of this result as it is a friendly and about getting ready for the season, we will make signings.
Wenger doesn';t think thsi team will win the title, he makes comments like that to keep up morale within the squad, all his comments suggest he wants to make signings, no idea why people are using this as a negative - it's good management.
Even playing Miquel at LB in a pre-season game was stupid from Wenger. The guy is completely lost there, and all Wenger does by playing him there is destroy his confidence.
Big thanks to Drogba for reminding Arsenal fans what it is like to have a world class striker at the Emirates.
No, it's not good management, he has to be realistic, not fill the player's head with wild imaginations making them think they're better than they actually are, it's not good management at all.
I'm really starting to fear for the accountant's sanity. Everything he does these days gives the impression of someone who's completely lost the plot.
Bang on, he looked out of his depth at LB in Asia ffs. Drogba has probably crushed his career before it has begun.
Game was so so and should have been a draw up until Sneider and Drogba came on, and everything changed. Yes Drogba went down like a sack of ****, but the second goal was great. This is the difference between good and top players, Sneider and Drogba were head and shoulders above everyone on that pitch. On watching the whole match, they deserved to win the match too. I'm just amazed no one in the Prem bought Drogba when he left Chelsea, it's clear to see he is still top quality.
From the comments from our players itsclear he hastold them they should expect new faces in teh squad to compete for there places. It's not that he is making them belive they are world beaters. But it's clear with this team that we playfar better when morale is high and hiscomments are just trying to continue the good mood about the club.
Regardless of this result, we're not strong enough at the moment, that's the bottom line, until signings happen, that's the full story, no if's and but's.
