    I'm not sure if there was a reason for it but why did NBC chose Tottenham to advertise the Premier League in America?

    They have been using Bale/Tottenham in a lot of advertisements here to promote the new season on NBC. I would imagine that they used Tottenham to continue that thread. Why Tottenham in particular I dont know. They have used most of the big teams in the past few years for behind the scenes shows etc and perhaps they wanted to use a new team. American sports journalists also like to fixate on one particular player as a representative for a league or a team and Bale is probably has the biggest potential as far as marketing goes in the EPL.
