No, the only people that earn that sort of dosh are the Aussies, load of unskilled , bone idle twats, unemployable if they didn't have such a strong union to hold the companies to ransom.
mate i used to work with says his uncle did this and earned shedloads of cash. he was an inspector as well. he's loaded now, off what you say is a short career apparently.
Aye its up there as one of the highest paid jobs outside of sports, music, film etc, bodyguards are higher paid as are ceo's etc but as a trade if you like its big money, the short career is something to do with the benz (sp)
