Watching Pozuelo's goal last night I thought any striker would have been proud of that control and finish.

He's certainly in a different mould to Bony - more lively and has more movement.

You could be right. Hasn't he played as a striker before?

I like players that can play in different positions and Pozuelo is looking that we can use him in emergencies ..

At some point (probably many points) this season either starting a game or certainly during a game, ML will switch to a false 9 shape. This could well include Pozuelo in that role with Pablo / Routledge and others buzzing around him. You might have noticed last night that he came on for Dyer but roamed all over. He was dropping back to the half way line and receiving the ball from the back line when everybody else was well forward and just generally being available and involved anywhere in the opposition's half. He is almost impossible to mark.

Poz started as a striker and more recently became an AM, so yes :)

As a 19/20 yr old striker for Betis B he scored 16 in 42 games and was reported as fancied by many including Barca. He became an AM when he broke into Betis first team

I see him more as a false 10 myself

Did we really pay around £250k for Pozuelo? If this is correct then it's simply daylight robbery. In the pre-season friendlies he looked class, one of those players that just seemed to stand out.

It was well publicised that he let his contract run down, but where were the other clubs that usually sniff around Laudrups targets? Once again it looks like he has found another Michu. But this time a bit cheaper.

I was at the match with my cousin, and mentioned that I hoped we got to see Pozuelo at some point because he's looked amazing in the friendlies. I wasn't disappointed. I think we'll see more of him in the starting lineup as the season progresses.
