It's encouraging that BBC got it completely wrong in the last story about Suarez where they assumed that Suarez would be allowed to have talks with Arsenal. I still have to treat them with more credibility than the newspapers but they have definitely increased the amounts of speculation type articles recently. I remember up to a couple of years ago they either wrote facts or nothing at all.
Oh right, forgot him In that case surely either Downing needs to be sold (preferred option), Sterling or Ibe goes out on loan to get regular game time or Suarez is off and we're just signing a replacement in Costa. That's alot of forwards considering Hendo, Allen or Gerrard might even take one of the 4 spots in an advanced midfield role...
Its a lot of forwards that also doesn't fill me with confidence when it comes to goals Suarez: If he stays, we know he can get a few as long as he gets enough chances Sturridge: We know he will get goals if he can stay fit. Big if Aspas: Unknown quantity. Done well in pre-season but then, so did Voronin and Pacheco each year! Coutinho: Not really a goalscorer but will create chances. Sterling: Still young and gets excited in front of goal. With age, he will get better but I don't see him as a regular first choice, he will be more of an impact player this season. Ibe: Too young and will get appearance here and there. I'll be surprised if he gets more than three for the season. Alberto: Unknown quantity, not a goalscorer and I expect he will be played further back. Downing: ****! Borini: Might get six to eight goals if he can locate his feet (or head) Costa: Unknown quantity!
Yeah but the whole revamping, shutting down 606 and what not they still need to attract ppl to the site so just now do what everyone does and make **** up And again welcome to the site fella
I'm not a legal expert (perhaps Tobes could help us out again?....) but here's the bit that gets me. Suarez accepts that Liverpool wouldn't sign a specific clause allowing him to automatically leave when a CL club puts a bid of over £40m, providing Liverpool themselves don't qualify for the CL - yet he/his agent appear to believe that is what their 'verbal agreement' allows. Er, surely if that is the case then Liverpool would have agreed to the explicit clause in the first place? Now look, I'm one of Suarez's biggest supporters (though it is getting tougher each day) and I neither begrudge him a move nor believe he'd be flirting with Arsenal if Madrid were interested; but - the validity of this BBC Salford rehash notwithstanding ..... **** it, I've forgotten what I was going to say.
Why should we sell him to Arsenal, they'll just end up having to sell him to someone else. When a transfer request comes in then I'll bother further with this subject
Verbal agreements mean **** all. If it's not written down and both sides haven't agreed it with a signature, then there is no proof the "agreement" ever existed. Suarez needs a new agent if he really wanted the clause to have an effect then should have got it worded properly in his contract before he signed.
BBC said Suarez would be negotiating with Arsenal as the clause allowed them. 2 days ago reports stated suarez had given up on legal action. BBC are getting as bad as the likes of metro just make stuff up. If he was that desperate he would have put in a transfer request. He wasnt shy about publicly stating he wants to join real madrid either, if he wanted to join arsenal I'm sure either the player or his agent would have come out and said so
What a nasty little attempt to by Cross and Ornstein to try and make something out of absolutely nothing. Both of them have attempted to present their own meanderings as inside information. Neither of them can present one single quote to substantiate their garbage.
Whats going on at BBC they really seem to be anti Liverpool at the moment. Always one of the last games. MOTD aswell no matter how well we played
As someone mentioned before I think it's no coincidence that intelligence within their articles fell just after the move to Salford.
