So sad to hear this. Proph was a legend on the old 606. RIP and sincere condolences to all his family and friends.
Would also like to add that I wish a speedy recovery to another Bluebird on here that is fighting ill health. You know who you are and it was great to hear from you. Keep fighting brother
Haven't been on the boards for ages so gutted to find this! Always enjoyed his threads from old 606 to the new. So glad I made it to the Insole at the end of the season a couple of years back. RIP mate, I hope the City do you proud!
My apologies to all for not commenting on the passing of Roy sooner, but I have been a bit occupied with another issue lately.. thanks to Scull and Andy BBFB for letting me know. R.I.P. Roy, you were a great man and a good pal, we had many a laugh on here as well as in private and it was because of you that I was allowed to be an honourary Welshman LOL. It's such a shame he didn't get to see Bluebirds in the Prem, but I'm sure he will jinx the Jacks when they meet. Fond memories and he will not be forgotten.
TBH I think he would prefer it just the way it is ........... Well maybe not this bad....... Never met him but BIG respect for his views and values and I really loved the stubborn nature he had, I thought he'd just had enough of the antler locking and walked off into the sunset ..... gutted....... Commiserations to his family and close friends R.I.P. Proph
Well said musty , for all our differences we respect a really nice fella who used to put me right a few seasons ago on the old 606, sleep well Bluebird
I've recently got back from 2 weeks abroad on holiday, so was scrolling through old posts when this came up. I remember Proph from the old BBC 606 board; he was always humorous, informed, and welcoming to new users. It's always sad to hear of someone you know passing away, and with Proph, even though I didn't know him personally, it's just the same. What a shame he didn't get to see us play in the Prem. I'd love to see our first game this season dedicated to the one and only Blue Prophet. RIP Roy, you will be missed.
Sorry to hear about Proph - condolences to all and family. Like Brizzle glad I met him at the Insole about 2 1/2 years ago with Bennifactor, Blue from Bridgend and TGI Friday and others. A character. RIP
R.I. P. I never met him but was ghosting the 606 board and really enjoyed his inputs. He will be missed.
I like this song and it helped me in my difficult year or so.........
proph liked a bit of local folk.....I remember him giving me a warm ear on my constant use of American folk on the music thread(orig)..........he was right mind <wink>
Sad sad news regarding Proph.. So genuinely disappointed to hear. Remember meeting him in the insole a few years back along with BfB and MilfordBluebird and others. Top guy and always entertaining with his posts RIP Proph. He will be missed and your absence was noted for a while before he passed. Gutted.
Benni just told me the news. Poor fella never got to see us in the Prem. Hope you're having a pint up there Roy whilst watching City
Sorry to hear this, sad news. If you know what you're searching for, much of the old 606 stuff is still available online.
