Know it's only 'caughtoffside' but would hate the potentially brilliant Michu/Bony partnership to be broken up by Brenda 'David Brent' Rodgers! Find your own players and stop trying to nick ours!
I don't think we will sell michu unless its for silly money..This next couple of weeks will be squeaky bum time as the bigger clubs make their minds up on who they want ready for the new season as replacements for the ones they have lost, I hope we don't lose anyone but as a realist i can't say we wont if the price is right....
bold statement and the usual...no player loves to be here they love the money and if we get an offer to good to turn down then who knows what will happen, we have a number of players on other clubs radar at the moment so until the window closes anything can happen..Its squeaky bum time until then..
For the first time ever, I feel confident in saying (with a straight face) that Swansea is a much better club than Liverpool to be at for Michu, and any other player we have for that matter. No real pressure (compared to the likes of the top 6), a club on the rise, European football and here they can play week in week out in a team that I have heard many 'experts' saying that can finish top 6-7. In short, do one Brendan.
I like Michu but I can't see why we'd pay big money (and we'd have to) for someone we don't need (if the Costa deal is correct) - Borini, Suarez, Costa, Sturridge, Ibe, Aspas, Coutinho, Yesil & Sterling are all attacking options - I can't see how another £20m+ signing will fit in there and I honestly do not see Suarez going this season (Next season... almost certainly)
As said above,Liverpool are well stocked for AM's anyway. Why would Michu leave this season ? he is getting plaudits back home playing for us and is probably higher in profile at Swansea than anywhere else(due to Laudrup and the Spanish armada) in terms of Spanish media we feature highly on a regular basis over there, he is comfortable in the team and area, has his friends here too but most of all he wants to play under Laudrup !! Makes no sense for him to leave for money as he is not a typical footballer, there are so many reasons why he will not go this season its not worth even considering to be honest !
I will be happy when the window closes and nobody has gone, until that happens its dog eat dog and anything can happen...
