Andy Stockhausen ‏@AndyStockhausen 10m City haggling with Boro over fee for Adomah. A deal looks close and Albert could be on his way by the weekend.
Thank god...been dragging on way too long. 1 million for AA would be good business imo. At best,on his day, he was a good championship player but was far too average on most days. Good luck to him if it all happens though.....
No for some reason it does not work that way it was set up the way it is to allow clubs to spend more on players wages if they sell players and need to sign replacements the whole thing is full of differing views as to how transfer income should be counted but what was decided was it is part of income but if you spend more than 40% of your transfer income buying in new players then that reduces the amount you have available to spend on wages.
I suppose they want to have this deal done so he can play tomorrow. Could very well see r alb go today
The more you read the more certain it looks... http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-mowbray-hopeful-of-sealing-a-couple-of-deals
0846: LATEST TRANSFER GOSSIP Middlesbrough are believed to be in deep talks with Bristol City and Ghana international forward Albert Adomah about a move to the Riverside Stadium, reports the Middlesbrough Evening Gazette. But the Robins, relegated to League One last term, have already turned down a £850,000 bid from Wigan. So Boro would have to splash out more than that - and decent wages - to secure the speedy 25-year-old.
It's worth noting that "Sports Direct News" is a bunch of recent graduate copywriters that rehash stories from elsewhere. They have no journalists, and only do this as a way to generate content to help push Sports Direct higher in Google rankings.
Wigan: Here's 750k for Adomah City: Nah We want 1 million Wigan: hmmmmm Here's 850k rising to 1 million after appearance's etc.... City: No! we want 1 million cash.... Now. Wigan: We're pulling out City: Meh, We'll Keep him Middlesbrough: Hey here's a million pound for Adomah City: No we want more now Middlesbrough: please log in to view this image City: please log in to view this image
Yes Sports Direct were the ones saying that we had accepted the first bid from Wigan and Albert was on his way there. Now because they screwed that up they are trying to claim it is all Bristol Citys fault and that we should have allowed AA to leave because they said he was going to and we are refusing to stick to a price, now as far as I know City put a price on Albert and said they wouldn't sell for less than that and if anything they are just sticking to what they said because reports from everyone other than Sports Direct say it is over £1M that was offered so how could Mowbray be annoyed that a £1M bid was turned down?
Andy Stockhausen ‏@AndyStockhausen 11m No deal expected for Adomah today. Boro not offered enough in terms of guaranteed money and City unhappy with proposed stages of payment. Andy Stockhausen ‏@AndyStockhausen 9m The deadline has passed for Adomah to play for Boro tomorrow even if a deal is done today.Expect negotiations to continue over the weekend. Andy Stockhausen ‏@AndyStockhausen 8m As things stand, Adomah could still play for City against Bradford tomorrow. SOD keeping his team selection close to his chest for now.
Andy Stockhausen ‏@AndyStockhausen 8m Adomah: "I've had speculation all my career and it does not worry me. I'm under contract at Bristol City and will play if selected."
If I was SOD I would select Adomah, **** Middlesborogh, pay up or shut up, he is a Bristol City contracted player...
