Home ⺠Transfers FULHAM OPEN SUNDERLAND TALKS FOR CATTERMOLE Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Thu, 08/01/2013 - 12:12 Fulham are in talks with Sunderland for midfielder Lee Cattermole. The Mirror says Cattermole has been told by manager Paolo Di Canio that he can leave the Stadium of Light. The former England Under-21 international is now in talks with Fulham boss Martin Jol, who has cash to spend following the west London clubâs takeover by US tycoon Shahid Khan. Sunderland paid Wigan £6million for Cattermole in 2009, but are now set to let him go for around £2.5m.
the wages hes on and the amount of time he actually plays when hes not banned or injured could release some wages for a better player they must have a few identified, plus at this price could start a bidding war Hull, Palace, and i bet a few other
Nooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If he's fully fit he's a defo keep. Can't sell him for a poxy 2.5 mill anyway
We have to lower the fee to encourage someone to take his wages He won't fit into the new regime so lets move him on
If he is on ridiculous wages get rid As a player all he brings to the team imo is fear…fear our our players not playing well and him kicking them up the arse and the fear of the opposition knowing he couldnt give a damn and will slide in However referees know of his reputation (even though he has matured) and he basically gets carded for anything…see MK Dons match Cattermole or Fernandes…know which i would rather have in my team
Unlikely to start a bidding war... Hull, palace and Fulham being very thrifty with their bids. All 3 would prefer Cattermole on loan.
