This looks like more than a dodgy newsnow article though. But we're too experienced to believe it until it actually happens though these days. I can't get my head round all this positivity....
Is it Dare To Dream time again? I would have an orgasm if we ever actually bought the ground and had cash for players as well.
This will the biggest step in the right direction yet!! Please make it happen. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23532611 Wonder where the money is coming from, and will there be more available for McD?
This is getting scary. The fall out for this of course will be JA having to close down as all the whinging muppets no longer having anything to moan about! As ever, I'll believe it when I see it.
Fair point but buying back er would save 1.5m a year in rent plus the 700k they saved by closing Yorkshire radio. If even that 2.2m was reinvested in new players each season we'd soon build a decent squad. Hopefully there will be a few quid spare from this deal for new players also
I think it might also help with the fifa rules (I can't be arsed to read them, but if anyone has, please comment). I think saving a million plus in expenses effectively means you could spend that extra million on player wages and amortised transfer fees, without breaking the fifa rules. But if anyone knows better, do correct me, as I say I keep starting to read them then I get bored.
It costs Leeds £2m per year, and will need £15m to buy ER back. That is serious money being invested, and a huge leap forward!! As stated above, add on £700k from the fake radio station closing, and it looks good for transfer money. However, we still need to lose players first to balance the squad, but when someone goes it will mean extra cash to get in better quality.
No idea either mate. In fairness, until recently those FIFA rules were unlikely to impact on us. Imagine the chances of bates overspending!
Don't get me wrong Eire, I'm delighted if it's true. Like you say, it should free up some money for Maccer...
