BBC announce some changes to it's MOTD and 606 football programmes.

Which means, reading between the lines, that we'll still have to suffer
Crooks, Savage, Claridge ( I assume <doh>) Shearer, Hansen and - god forbid, Ian Wright. <yikes>

Why don't they head hunt that arsehole Durham from talkshite and make it a full house .....of idiots?

The good news is Vialli will be used more, but that's still a lot of clichéd, self-opinionated dross to have to tolerate <grr>

(All opinions in this post emanate purely from the Beautiful north Norfolk coast <ok>)

The only good news is that Mark Chapman is joining the MOTD 2 team, the 'pundits' are total tosh. I feared Gabby (talentless) Logan might take that chair as well as the BBC can't get enough of her. Idiots!

I saw an article earlier (think it was a William Hill brochure someone had posted on FB) where Savage predicts us, Palace and Hull for relegation - and the basis that we haven't strengthened enough over the summer <doh>

Here's a tweet from Radio 5's Chris Warburton who does a (very good, imho) programme called Saturday Edition about 8 p.m. And my reply.

No Colin Murray on MotD 2? Brilliant, I won't have to watch it on mute anymore.

Yes, typical BBC, really. Take the same deck of cards, give them a shuffle and deal out (a little) differently. I can only assume there's some sort of contractual obligation to certain pundits.
Or maybe some viewers actually find them insightful.....and like them <yikes>

I hate Shearer, but by far and away the biggest and most total moron in football presenting (in fact in any type of media or any walk of life) is IAN WRIGHT.

I am absolutely staggered anyone would give him a job (let alone the BBC), I'd actually prefer to listen to Talksport than the utter **** that comes out of his mouth.

so, lawro i assume will be on 5live as opposed to the motd sofa?

ian wright is a truly dreadful pundit - what on earth possessed them to bring him in? can you imagine him and hansen on the same sofa... hansen would throttle him!

i quite like vialli and waddle, although the latter does get his players mixed up a bit. kelly dalglish is fine too - she knows her stuff, no problem with her at all. kilbane is ok but a bit safe and poor old johnny hartson hasn't said anything of interest to me in all the times he's been a pundit. wouldn't bother with him - very bland. savage is a numpty but at least he does sometimes off a controversial viewpoint whilst all around him get cosy.

but ian wright... seriously??? **** sake... <doh>

The only problem I have with Chrissie Waddle is if there's a "pelanty" - it really winds me up, why does nobody correct him? <steam>

MOTD is a very tired format.

They should have put Colin Murray in charge, he's one of the very few interesting things about the programme. He's witty, acerbic, interesting, intelligent and questions the dumb arse pundits when he thinks they are talking bollocks.

Mark Chapman is incredibly dull and asks questions I really don't care what the answer is.

MOTD has had its day, I record it and fast forward the **** in between the goals because I don't learn anything. Vialli however may make it interesting, it's about time they had a foreigner as a panelist.

Damn right, carrabuh and that's why I mentioned him in the OP. Otherwise it all gets too 'jobs for the boys', mustn't really disagree too much.

As it has been for several years. <doh>

It's a flagship presentation, BBC - so ****ing treat it like one.

I met Ian Wright about ten years ago when me and some mates were on his Friends Like These BBC game show. We got chatting to him in the green room and he confessed that he didn't massively like football, he hadn't been to see Arsenal since leaving there, only really watched England games and couldn't care less who won the title that year. He also said wasn't going to stay in the game and had no interest in being a full time pundit.

Wish he'd stuck to his word, he is a colossal bell end <ok>

Agree about the qualities of Colin Murray by the way, I don't understand how so many people dislike him at all, I think he's excellent - very knowledgable, good banter and isn't a condascending pillock like Mark bloody Chapman, who used to be ok but has become really annoying as time has gone by. That's what spending so much time sucking Robbie Savage's cock does for you <ok>

I have no idea what any of you are on about, due to me recording motd for half an hour first so I can fast forward through the mundane drivel. :emoticon-0103-cool:
