    Good Morning Peeps,

Diouff is going nowhere, or so McMermott claims in the Sun this morning. Although the Senagalese international is getting on a bit, I think his skill, ability to keep the ball, and draw free kicks in dangerous situations will be invaluable. I'd sooner get rid of Varney.

What do we think? If we had to get rid of one, would it be Varney or Diouff?

Leeds are delighted to announce that Thom Kirwin and Elland Road legend Eddie Gray will continue to supply live commentary to LUTV subscribers on matchdays. The well respected former Yorkshire Radio duo will also continue to broadcast weekly analysis and chat shows, exclusively for LUTV listeners. Thom will also take on the role of LUTV's chief reporter and will continue to bring subscribers interviews and comment from Thorp Arch and Elland Road. Really??? I'd sooner listen to commentary from a fan...

Former Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers head of recruitment Luke Dowling is in line to become Leeds United’s new chief scout.

Not long until the Brighton match. Lets see yer team sheets???

Dowling is top of Brian McDermott’s list of candidates for the job with the Leeds manager looking to strengthen his backroom team. Part of Dowling’s initial remit is likely to be assisting in the effort to remove players from the wage bill at Elland Road, creating room for new signings before the end of the summer transfer window.

    ----------Kenny----------

    Pelts--Lees--Pearce--Warnock

    Hunt--Dawson--Murphy--Hall

    ----Poleon----McCormack---

I know it'll never happen like that. The only other amendment I would actually make would be to play Warnock as centre back alongside Lees as I believe he is a lot better then Pearce. I would then bring in Drury to left back.

In hindsight, having two youngsters in the centre of midfield probably wouldn't be a good idea against a well organised Brighton team. I'd bring in either Tonge or Brown to accompany one of the youngsters...

Morning all. Personally I can't wait for the first match, unfortunately it'll be the first time for years since I've missed the opening home game, but at least my lads will be there representing their old lad.
I love the Yorkshire pud with a cumberland sausage(and no homo jokes please) and onion gravy.

I would get rid of Kenny, Brown, Pugh, Varney, Drury, Tonge for starters, it won't happen because we've no time to replace some of them.

I don't know TBH, one of Warnocks mates really. There will be supporters who like him, but I just think he's passed it and if we want to move on and progress need to get rid..but that's just my opinion.

Morning all!! Yorkshire Yorkshire Yorkshire!!! Starting to feel the new season buzz now. Really pleased with GFH progress off the pitch, positive changes that will hopefully create a super atmosphere within the club and amongst the fans. What a cloud Bates had over ER, at least now we can see sunshine again. We must remember there are a lot of players in our squad who will be playing for their futures this season. If they are poor they will struggle to find a new club, and if they do it will be short term contracts in lower divisions on low wages. We will soon see if our lads have the desire to save their flagging careers!! We have a rising star in Alex Mowatt, and I feel he will break through ahead of Dawson. Mowatt is a box to box player, strong in the tackle and an eye for goal, similar to a young Steven Gerrard.

The problem with some of our dross, is that they are sitting on contracts which pay them a good wage. They will not get the wages they are on elsewhere so will sit on their arses picking up wages, rather than go. Nobody will give is a fee for them and they will only get short term deals elsewhere now, sorry we're fooked as we're lumbred with them. We had to offer Bromby a job as a kids coach and ask him to retire to get him off the wage bill ffs

    Morning all <ok>

Just posted the match thread for Brighton, and my team prediction is on there. Basically I think BMD will continue with White as a winger for now. I know we aren't keen on him, but I see him starting there just to give us pace. I think the team will be very much the same as the one that played against Nurnberg, which for me means Hunt and Smith on the bench, but I could be wrong!

Tonge is definitely one of Warnocks mates, and while he did have a few good games we need to move this sort of player on.

Tonge is a decent squad player but I would hate to think he kept Dawson and Mowatt out of the team

I wouldn't mind if he was used for the first half of the season while they were out getting regular first team time somewhere else, but after that I definitely agree. If we have this 2 year plan in place, its time to start focusing on the players who will have a role next season as well.

Saturday is the start of the new season. Pre season warm ups are finished shouldn't you be putting a strong team out ?

Don't think I like that team to be honest, my team for Brighton would probably be

    -------------------Kenny--------------------

    Pelts------Lees-----Pearce----Warnock

    Green-----Brown-----Murphy----Hunt

    ------------McCormack---Smith--------

I'd even be tempted to play Thompson at RB and move Peltier into CB.

Morning all. I agree with others in that BMD will start with most of those who played against Nurnberg. I don't think Austin can play, which is a pity. But I think White and/or Hall will start. When fit and available, I would see Diouf and Austin coming in somewhere, leaving McCormack and AN Other, probably Varney, as our two starting forwards. I also think that a slate should be whiped clean for Varney and a couple of others, given that we're moving on from hoofball to proper footy.

What did I read somewhere, a crowd for Saturday of 30k+. Let's hope the lads give the crowd and those listening to LUTV something to cheer about. On the subject of LUTV, great that Tom Kirwin is being retained. Pity we had to retain Eddie Grey. Brilliant with the ball, 'kin' useless as a comentator.

On the kids, can't see Dawson starting or being on the bench yet. Better that both go out on loan to a L1 side to get regular game time. Dawson in particular also needs to bulk up a bit if he isn't to end up getting battered in the championhip.

Good morning, have not looked forward to the start of a season so much for a long time <ok>

On a different point, just looked at the "125 years of the Football League" video, http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23521570 - I did not expect anything any different, but I would think about half the teams got a mention or had at least a player shown, needless to say it was as if Leeds did not exist (come to think of it, I am not sure any Yorkshire cluib, but I might be wrong on that)

I like that idea of Thompson as RB and Pelts in the middle (until we get a better CB that is!).

Still I dont think Hunt is a winger. Stephen maybe but not Noel.
