Come on you twats, only one has answered the question - our squad or their squad as they stand right now? None of this "if we get a............" bollocks either.

I really like the look of some of our new players and I was glad to see most of the players leave who have left but of course they're still untested as a unit... could turn out great or could take too long to gel. I don't buy the QPR comparison because they hired a bunch of people only motivated by money and if there's one thing I'm convinced of it's that PDC won't accept that sort of mentality.

Your team also had a major influx of players unknown to most UK fans over the past few years and some looked great at first and then looked ****e, some continue to look good but there aren't many I envy you for. Also your squad as it stands failed miserably last year so why would I think that's going to change this year? It strikes me as too many Newcastle fans exhibit more hubris than is justified after how this squad of yours performed last year.

I think the situation is uncertain for both sets of players... I do have optimism tinged with fear with our squad being so new, if I was a Mag I'd be pretty 'meh' tinged with fear about starting the season with the same squad as last year. Or maybe it's a problem with your manager; that's been a consistent lack of quality or vision for both clubs in the managers we've had over the past few years.

Overall I'm far happier to be in the position we're in that when I look up the road at you lot; we're both starting after terrible seasons and we'll know soon enough who's team is better and I for one am looking forward to the year ahead.

Dreadful article. Typical of the Fail. Shame as we don't get much media coverage. Lots of pointless comparisons with out taking everything into account.

    Yep says Fletcher could leave

Even if we're willing to sell (which we're not) who would take him now in the middle of a serious injury?

    Ours.

They are too much of an unknown quantity for my liking, although not all will play.

I think we have a good squad, that will play better this season, my biggest worry remains Pardew and his tactics with too many players out of their best position at times.

Damn right, He'd really really struggle to pass a medical. Besides, it's already been confirmed he's part of the plans. Seb is going nowhere as well. It also neglects to mention some of those signings are development players and that the keeper is just a competition signing. As far as Newcastle go, a lot are happy with the squad and conceded the only worrying aspect is what's going on off the pitch. ****e article. The Rag is a joke!

The who's squad thing is tough.

Genuine quality in your first XI, but I l've a lot of our squad now.

Santon & debuchy a shoe in, love HBA, and I rate Cabaye. Colo is superb on his day, and Krul is probs the best keeper.

I make that 6 outta 11, Cisse is very hit and miss, I couldn't choose between him & Jozy at this point, but I'd have Fletch over any other NE striker without a flinch.

    Krul
    Debuchy - Colo - JOS - Santon
    AJ Cabaye Giaccherini
    HBA-Sess
    Fletcher

Be great to watch, but would be a weee bit open at the back, haha.

    7-5 anyone? Every week.

    Where did I say 'only'?

I do believe this is what the kids of today call a 'fail'.

Can't even speak in complimentary terms about your club!

I think you are reading more in to this than you need to. A case of one upmanship?
