Great goalkeeper but he had a fews mares toward the end. I remember he dropped an easy one into the net. I think that was the time one of our morons put a brick through his shop window. every club has them but that was bad.

The game against WBA at home in 1968 was the end for Ron. He was pelted with fruit every time he touched the ball in the second half. We went on to lose 4-0.

It was the strangest of transfers when Ron came back from Sheff Wed and Peter went to them, i think they got the better deal as Ron was at the end of his career whilst Peter was a good young keeper.

Used to get my football boots from Rons' shop on the Uxbridge Road.

He and his family were season ticket holders in Ellerslie during the 70's, don't know if they stil go to games.

Your archives must be like Aladdin's cave for a QPR supporter.

He was always having stock stolen from the shop, plus it was in the wrong location. In the end he shut up shop.
