Hindsight is a really odd thing. Suarez left Ajax, a Champions League club, to come to us. No bleating about not playing in the CL there. Just moving to a bigger club. Moving to Real would be moving to a bigger club, and one that is in the CL every year. Must be a La Liga statuary requirement or something, that... But L'Arse isn't a bigger club, certainly its trophy cabinet is sparser than ours... Moving for CL is a huge red herring, IMO...
