Luis Suarez has dropped his claim for arbitration on his contract after legal advice. The clause which arsenal believed they had triggered with their spasticated 40000001 bid only means liverpool had to officially inform suarez of interest in him. Having dropped the claim Luis now accepts he is going to remain a liverpool player unless arsenal come back with a bid that matches liverpools valuation. So now Wenger 55m or **** off .
Found this.......... http://dailypost.com.ng/2013/07/31/...over-50m-after-striker-loses-contract-wrangle
there you go ... but the page 50m they claim is 55m according to brendys interview last week. id fire pere guardiola if I was luis
Arsenal can spend that much in 24 hours. They have the Stadium and making profit too. However Wenger is always cautious.
Nothing like showing some gratitude to the club that backed you through all your cases with an arbitration case against the club eh?
The thing is, whatever happens, you just need them to get on with it. You won't be in a great position if it's a last minute deal - similar to where we paid huge sums for Torres really late in the day, just for you to have to really overpay for Carroll. Just because you get a huge sum, it won't help. Surely if it is going to happen, better that is right now (even if it is a few million short of what you might squeeze from Arsenal) to give you time to spend the money slightly more wisely?
may i ask something please. serious question do we know suarez made an application for this arbitration OR do we hear from the press he might? I thought today it was written as when the journo asked the FA if such a submission was made they had not recieved any such thing. In short are we not tarring suarez with something he never asked for.... jsut like saying he wants to go to arsenal when al lhe said was he had 2/3 options and real were a great club. in the end its important to not shove another playe rout the door like SOME seem to want to with pepe just cos the club say so. (and i'd still sell at 50mil no question)
This is the problem. It seems that whatever speculation the press come up some fans are ready to take them at face value and praise or condemn accordingly. I've said time and again I'll wait to see what happens before I'll believe it- and I think it'll be some way down the line before we find the truth about what has been said and done by all sides.
Two girls, oneAllen I'm not saying it is going to happen - but if Arsenal signed Suarez and Fabregas would that not put them in a position much more likely to win trophies? If these players consider themselves World Class talent then surely they consider the impact they will have on a team?
