Looking at all this speculation I think the following is going on: Were looking for a creative CM. I think Fernades is the no.1 target but we have a few other irons in the fire like Kuzmanovic and we have not given on on Duncan either just in case. We know we need a LB were looking at options but I think PDC is waiting to see what happens at Spurs and might go back in for Rose. He can leave it till last minute with Rose because he has a good under study in Colback and Rose will not take time to bed in. Were keeping an eye on other people just in case a great option (Cissokho) becomes available. At RB, I think PDC likes Gardner, he needs another RB but he is not rushing it as the Puruzzi deal could still be on and again he does not want to look too desperate because it just means players agent demand more money. On the Striker front I think PDC wants one more. I think he would go with what we have got unless someone great is a possibility (Sow). If not I think he will keep Wickham, if not Wickham could go on loan. Were keeping our eye on a few other strikers in case for some reason Sess leaves. So in conclusion: I expect a couple more signings: CM and Striker to come in before the start of the season. We will see 2 full backs come in too but it might all end up being a bit last minute. I think the club are playing a sensible game. They got much needed players in quickly so we had a core of a team for pre season. Were now looking for quality but are determinded not to be held to ransom. Once signings start happening the likes of Catts, Vaughan etc.. will get moved on.
A LB, creative midfielder, RB and striker for me. In that order. LB - Rose or Cissokho with Colback as back up RB - I think he should buy Perruzi and play Gardner for the first few games if his injuries arn't too bad. CM - Looks like Fernandez (hopefully he will pass the medical) CF - Don't really care... we have Jozy, Fletch, Ji and the new lad. Plenty of cover and Sess can always partner Jozy.
RB - Peruzzi I think will sign but will he be the only right back that comes or will their be another? LB - Cissokho? CM -Fernandes CM - need a squad cm if Vaughan and Catts are off, Alfie already gone as well don't forget W - Mavrias CF - do we need one? Linked with Sow yesterday, not really bothered if we get another out Bardsley, Vaughan, Gardner, Cattermole, McClean and Wickham if another striker arrives
Personally I think we'll get 1 x rb Possibly Perruzi but unlikely 1 x lb Cissokho? Don't see rose coming 1 x cm Fernandes hopefully Then anything else will be from departures Gards will be back up rb and Colback back up lb We don't need any more strikers. Only way a major striker will come if is sess is sold (which I do not ****ing want to happen)
Mark Noble for CM anyone??????
