New Labour persecuted the working masses by making them financially support the new under-class of society (chavers, immigrants and human right protected criminals) as well as the cost of pointless wars against terror.. next time you complain about your council tax think about where are the areas with the lowest council tax?

I know a lot of people on shiity contracts like this and are really struggling to find anything better. If anyone knows of anything I'm sure they would be glad to know! The nature of where I work makes these contracts impossiblr, nut neither there currently any openings being made due to the firm cutting back.

Some business have to run on these types of contract. Unlike government offices which can have staff sitting doing nothing whilst everybody pays for them!! Private businesses have to make a profit to survive. If a shop is busy in the sales or xmas they bring in temporary staff and then let them go in the quiet period. It's happen on farms for the last 1000 years during harvest time!!

Austerity is death for the poor. It accelerates themovement of wealth from the poor and middle class to the richest 1%

To motivate the poor it seems you need to make them poorer, remove job security and treat them like commodities, whereas to motivate the rich it seems they need big bonuses and fantastic pensions, with the safety net of a golden handshake when they cock things up (again). I would say it's a funny old world but there's absolutely nothing to laugh at here.

Ah, the UK PLC. Run by gangsters, aided by the media and with most of our MP’s in their pockets. How else is it that we have gotten to a situation where:

    1. Billionaires own football clubs, buying them with money that is either dubiously earned or funded by the ‘Entrepreneurs’ whose money is earned off of the backs of foreign slave labour?
    2. Money lending companies as Football sponsors, with their 1500%+ APR lending rates?
    3. Media outlets that promote gambling advertisements all day, KNOWING the damaging effects it has on society, yet they specifically target children and young adults.

Our society have known for a long time that gambling is addictive and prone to being infiltrated by the criminal world, yet it has blossomed here in the UK; uncontrolled, arrogant and laughing in the face of decency as it draws more and more people into debt.

Corruption and greed is rife, our politicians have failed us and tbh, we as a nation have failed ourselves as we have sat back and let it all happen!

What we need is a working class "spring" - oh hold on that would make us subversive, commie, terrorists <add as appropriate> etc

<whistle> - thought I had better add that in case anyone thinks I was being serious :bandit:

Of course gambling is addictive, and even more so in the past 20 years.

But what do you expect when they advertise the biggest hook of all as a game - The National Lottery.
Better still when you go to the shops, we'll thrust the Instants in front of your face so you take that extra chance to gamble a bit more.
Not content with restricting your lottery gambling to the UK, there is always the opportunity to gamble along with the rest of Europe, for that added chance to lose a bit more.

One government after another has developed and mentored gambling as a way of getting rick quick.

But you do know YOUR GAMBLING is in a good cause.

Yep and now endemic; strange how it seems to have coincided with the rise of the money lenders. Remember when the original regulator for the National Lottery went over to the States to be 'shown' their lottery system and was allegedly flown around by the Mafia. Remember when they said there would not be more than 1 or 2 euro-lottery rollovers. Gambling is advertised at every opportunity, even on a Sunday afternoon and they seem to like to infer, with the likes of the ray '****-head' Winston, bet-fred & euro-lottery adverts, a gangster like mentality.
Shame on them, gangsters all and preying on the weak.
Shame on all those 'stars & celebrities' who promote it
    Shame on our MP's

And that's a reason to be happy with no holiday pay no sick pay no hours no rights no redundancy rights no ability to go to an employment tribunal if bullied or sacked unfairly.

Never thought of it that way before always had this strange idea that you look at the facts and have an opinion. How wrong I was let's just call people names that will solve all of the worlds problems

The same unions that killed British Industry????? that turned the North East into a barren wasteland you mean????

Don't get me wrong i'm no lover of the Tories but i'm even less of a lover of Mr Blair/Brown and their hopeless New Labour. I remember sitting with me Dad watching the election results when Labour were swept in 'Things can only get better'..... they did for some..

Fat cats in town halls, hospitals and government jobs all got fatter, the BBC became a more out of control Public paid-for monster. Brown the so called Chancellor did his best not to keep an eye on the city. Blair and his human-rights loving cronies let anybody into the country to do the jobs that the underclass wouldn't do..

Read up about PFI, make a note of the overspend of the Olympics and the NHS computer system that never was. Read about the chaos that was Nimrod.

And who paid for this all???? Not the rich, Tony's friends, not the Middle class University educated politicians, not Blair babes!!!
It was and will by us the working classes. Labour failed us....just get used to it.

finally, in 2009 the Joseph Rowntree foundation printed a report stating that the gap between the rich and poor actually widened under the Labour government... don't figure does it?

    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/4799689/Gap-between-rich-and-poor-has-widened-under-Labour.html

Be like the rest of the idiots in the North East and vote them in again.. <doh>

A lot of these rights were forced upon NEW LABOUR by the EU. This wasn't a Labour led initiative. Don't kid yourself.
