A couple of years ago he was going to be the Bees knees. Anyone know what went wrong, as he is available. As we tend to get a good player and turn him into a failure, might it be better to get a failure in and turn him into a good player.
My Mackem' mate says that Wickham is a very, very good player, but his early success went to his head and he thinks he has already made it, got lazy as a result. With our record of turning round players with an attitude problem, he's a shoe in.
I think Wickham is a good player and might be one that Harry can get the best out of. When we played Ipswich the year we went up I thought he caused us problems all night, we were lucky to come away with the 3 points. Him and Bullard were their outstanding players and that was 2 years ago. Maybe the Mackem is right, it's all gone to his head, maybe dropping down to spend a year in the Championship might give him the kick up the backside he needs.
Wasn't he in that Middlesbrough team that was going to storm the Championship under Strachan and failed dismally. The curse of the bookies favourites. Hope it doesn't happen to us
Really dont want us to sign Kris Boyd, a total flop in the championship. As i said on the Wickham thread, I would bring him in, as long as we also get another striker in
