He's fantastic. I've been using his Beginners Course since January and probably given up by now if I hadn't found it. He loads of courses on his site. Rock, metal, funk, blues and folk.
Why anyone would pay a tutor,to teach them when this guy does it for free ? My problem is a lack of time to practice, but i'm on holiday for the next two weeks, with nothing much to do,so it's a great chance to get back into it.
Its good to have a little bit of face to face teaching. They can spot little things you can't see. What ever level you are, think his site is worth a look. Its not so much the main lessons he does, but the little hints and tips he gives you in them lessons. Also the way he helps with practice routines too.
Excellent-looking site! Cheers, KK. [Edit: I love Neil Young's songs, but to sing along, I need to wear very tight pants....]
He's doing rock song series on a Friday. Some great tunes, last week it was Sunshine Of Your Love by Cream.
I do sound a bit **** when i sing along, but i only play for myself, which might be the same as masturbation, but it's a great way of passing the time. Neil Young's awesome,i'm going to have a go at "Needle and the damage done",which Sandercoe also covers.
My mate sent me this, the other day. I didn't know Phish's stuff before, but they sound good.
Great tune,i think Weller liked it too...
I love to play guitar and have done for about ten years on and off. I haven't had any time to play in the last few years though but getting back into it for the last couple of days. Has anyone tried the sonsterr app? I do recommend it.
What I understand about Neil Young is that when he plays, no two renditions of his songs are the same. Which means anyone can cover them with an element of improvisation and they'll sound good because as long you know the basic chord structure you'll be fine. I much prefer his live recordings to his studio work.
