Morning all
It'd be nice to see some of the deadwood shifted this week paving the way for some new faces through the door, but we'll have to wait and see I guess. I managed to watch the first half of the game on Saturday on LUTV and from what I saw we still looked dodgy defensively, Pearce made a couple of howlers. Going forward I thought there was some promise though, there was a definite fluidity to the attack that wasn't there before, with players switching between the wings and the front two slots.
I do agree that Ross plays best when pushed up front though. He can definitely play in behind a striker but I think he isn't as effective. The same with Poleon out wide, just seems to lose impact. I didn't expect us to beat Nurnberg, and wish I could have seen the second half, but it did at least look like we were playing BMDs style. More possession than hoof, and pressing more aggressively off the ball.
Lets see what happens this week, we got off to a good start shipping Bates out, now lets continue that
