Wassup peeps, are you sick of seeing non football talk? Then whats your all time Swansea foreign 11? From Savarese to Shefki and Bodde to Boyd, leave no stone unturned! Only rule...non GB players only and must have played 1 competitive game at least
No Bobby Brown Shoes? Cant argue much wjth you there but there maybe a couple of changes at the end of this season !
Great team selection there, rowdy. I'd make just the one change and select Bony ahead of Borini. I know Bony has yet to do it for us but I love what I've seen so far and I've no doubt he will get his goals. He's also our record signing whilst Borini, technically, was never ours as a loan player. But what a team!!! Chinaglia would be roughing up the oppo defence whilst Bodde would be sorting out the midfield. Pity the other strikers because if they get past the Evil Genius, they've got Ante and Chico to face. Chico is hard but Ante was something else again. Tosh said that he would never want to play against him, the strongest, toughest player he'd seen. And he could play too, make no mistake. So, we have a tough as teak team but one with goals galore in it. I'd just love to have seen them all play together.
Swim, you say non GB players and they must be foreign. I'm a bit confused because if they aren't Welsh then they must be foreign even of they're from a country in the UK. The Scots, Irish and English are all foreigners too. If you don't believe me just ask Mabon because he's the one who told me
Gomez is left footed along with Michu. JdG, a right footer, gives us more balance. Ki might have a shout for a place and I'm betting that Pozuelo will enter the mix during the season.
Džemal Hadžiabdić known to his friends as Jamal Haji, played left back under Toshack, was born July 25, 1953 in Mostar, and is Bosnian. represented SFR Yugoslavia. He's been coaching in Qatar and United Arab Emirates since 2000 and is the current head coach of Al Dhafra S.C.C. in the UAE Pro-League. Played for us between 1980/83 and made 89 appearances, he also played for Yugoslavia, between 1974/78 making 20 appearances. I remember watching this boy from the old North bank, and was well impressed, rumour has it that he still lives in Wales, and still has his home in Birchgrove, Swansea, though I'd need confirmation from Ffsdon, or Jager! Now there's one from the Archives aye................. PS: Did you know that we have gone through approximately 540 odd players over the years?
Me too Never, And one of my mates down my local, knows Haji very well, he does a lot of travelling back and for Bosnia and Croatia, and takes stuff back and for for haji, it was he that told me he still lives in Birchgrove, he's bringing in photos he has of him and his familly over the years, and I'm looking forward to seeing them! ...............
Ivor - I guess that you will be correct re Bony but as he hasn't played a competitive game yet, I felt that today I had to go for Fabio.
Quite right Dragon Jimmy still lives in the Swansea area and is often a visitor to home games and I've seen him enjoying a drink in the Vice Presidents bar after the match along with several other past players.
Thanks for confirming that Sbulby, I'm felt sure my mate was saying the truth, but you know after a few beers, things get exagerated, so I just wanted confirmation, great to here!............
