Just wanted to give an honest opinion on your game today.

I think you look like a decent outfit now. Altidore looks like a very good target man.

However, from pre-season and the end of last season, I've noticed that conceding a goal seems to rock you quite a bit.

You were raping City for the first 5 minutes, then you conceded a goal and could have conceded another straight away. And that's what I picked up from the end of last season.

Paolo gets your players up for a game, and his tactics are good enough, but it seems like you don't look prepared to concede goals and them come back from losing positions.

It's like that mindset that you've developed from becoming a defensive sort of side has been printed into your footballing DNA.

You look defensively solid, and you prepare to scrape 1-0 wins, but if you concede then you look weak.

Just my opinion. If you disagree them please respond with respectful comments.

Although we did look shaky after conceding the goal initially, after about 10 minutes, we'd calmed down and were knocking it about again.

We also went 1 down to Spurs on Wednesday, but on that occasion, we weren't shaky afterwards and actually upped our game after going behind. Leading to our 3-1 win

1-0 scrappy wins was the MoN style last season and that's not something that will be the case this season.

Mindset is going to be our biggest hurdle imo, i disagree tho that is revolves around conceding a goal.
This may sound contrite and may not even appeal to pdc's teams but identity as to how we want to play and confidence that that system works will be our biggest hurdle.

The goal we conceded today was a classic tho. Until then we looked calm and assured against a bloody good and expensively assembled team. I for one am looking forward to our football on a decent pitch. Remember there are a lot of young players out there who have only recently just met. I expect a bloody good showing in the league once they get to understand each others movements ( i don't mean bowel movements).

I watched the game last night because I have been away working in Spain.

I thought we looked really good, my only gripe was we did not work their keeper enough. We kept the ball and created openings but did not test their keeper enough.

Not had my say on the game yet. When I came back on the subjects were way down the thread pile but as one has been bumped well aye.

The game should never have been played, Never in all my life have I ever seen such disregard for players safety. When Man City give the ball that often then you know what you're seeing isn't an accurate reflection of reality. I got nothing from the game apart from a fantastic volleyed goal.

    F*** You you8 useless F***ing pr*ck!!!!! :D

Couldn't resist tash sorry! I didn't think we looked rocked when going a goal down on Saturday - they didn't even nearly score with the chance afterwards and it was easily blocked and cleared - and - as has been said - we were 1-0 down against Spurs and equalised without being rocked at all - we actually stepped our game up after going a goal down - but City are a much stronger outfit than Spurs were the other day.

Not sdure but think this is a wind up as normal Tash - Apologies if I am wrong but saying "You look defensively solid, and you prepare to scrape 1-0 wins, but if you concede then you look weak." after we hammered Spurs the other day is a bit like dangling a worm - You have to remember we played a side that cost in excess of £150m to put together and had a lot of newbies in our side which cost very little - all of which looked at home in the game and only got beaten by a worldy goal - we may set up to win 1-0 against City (although I don't think that's what we did) but you can guarantee different set ups against different teams as we have a gaffer who is tactically aware now
