There's a QPR season coming up in a week. Yes, we don't know how it'll go but let's get some positivity going! It may even infect the players a little bit. Look, at the end of the day it's football and not life and death. We should have enough things going on in our lives that QPR success isn't the only source of happiness for us. But just try and remember why you support QPR. Lord knows it can't be because QPR have always been a stable and successful club since before the last two seasons. There are players coming in who some of you are already expecting ****e football from and there's a long way to go before the transfer deadline yet some of you are acting like we're done just because we lost out on Hooper to Premier League competition. I actually read someone saying that we're ****ed and we'll have no strikers this season etc. If you find it terrible waiting a few weeks for the transfer deadline then god knows what you're like when waiting for the result of a job interview or blood tests at the hospital. Lets all just relax and realise that many good and bad things have happened in the lifespan of our club and that none of us had any real control over it, apart from supporting from the stands. So take your hands off the imaginary wheel and just be there. If its too much for you, look away.
Hear, hear. Who knows whats in store this season. One thing is guaranteed, we will win more games than we did last season so its already better. Also AJ will get into double figures (goals not injuries) for the season and put the doom mongers and miserable bastards in their place.
Funnily enough, Im waiting for the yearly blood test results right now and dont give a crap about it. Being happy clappy at this point makes about as much sense as a doom merchant when we got promoted and there were some of those. Me, I just see what I see. My opinion changes on that. I dont see anything good on the pitch and havent for a couple of years.
You speak as if this thread was aimed at you. Feeling guilty? Fair enough but I don't think that the others are being happy clappy. I think that there are just some who want to get on with things and look forward, forward to where none of us can really predict. And they get tired of excessively depressing viewpoints here.
You think expecting relegation to league 1 is the most realistic view at the moment? I think it's just pure fear!
If I knew or could be bothered to give out rep, Awjm would get some in bundles. Too many doom mongers on here at the moment. (I respect and like you Flyer but you're the worst bruv ) If we get battered next week then come on here and say 'I told you so', if not then be prepared ........
I reserve the right to be unenthusiastic, or at least despondent, up until kick off in a week's time.
Good post awjm I must admit I am getting really miffed with the attitude of some posters and their descriptions of our new and existing players and manager it actually keeps me off the board as I just can't stand all the negativity, I have also noticed some of the people that I enjoy reading are also taking their distance. Sure I don't like some and disagree with some decisions made but we need to give these everyone a chance. By the way there is nothing wrong speaking negatively on well thought out reasoned point that gives room for discussion and open debate.
I dont want to say I told you so, Ill be as pissed off as you if it happens. Same thing for when Zamora is **** and AJ injures himself for a season.
Good Shout Eamon and Ill openly take it back and be positive, things aint looked good so far but, hey lets ee what happens. As fro the OP..MAWJ I've never been nervous about an interview, and as for those blood tests......you know you can get penicillin for that right?.. Good post mate..lets get some positivity flowing.!
Though I'm cautious about our forthcoming season (the record of relegated clubs in the first season back in the Championship isn't too encouraging), I can't wait for it to start Couple of new grounds for me too (Huddersfield and Yeovil) Wednesday at home will be a tough opening fixture but 3 points from that will have a few on here reappraising their own views of our 2013/14 season COYRs
Yep ... we have given our views lads and now it's time again to give our support ... come and have a drink before the game all N606's
You guys that are going to the game really need to sing your lungs out Wed will be plenty loud,so cut the negs and support the boys whoever is playing go rrrrrrrrrrrrsssssssssssssssss
I'm with Flyer to the point that to win games, we need goal scorers. Being in the Championship, we may let in less goals but we still need to kick em in to win. We were told that Remy was only slightly injured but should be back real soon ............... well, that was some time ago and we hear it week in, week out and he still hasn't played. Something about him and his situation is not quite right and we are being feed garbage. Hooper didn't happen, Austin supposedly not as well ............ we simply need some younger goal scorers x 2 at least to make headway this season. AND .............. we need them, NOW! If it doesn't happen, (which looks likely ) then we can not be serious about getting back to the PL. Hope I'm proved wrong but nothing that is happening with our team suggest we will be any better than mid to lower table. On a positive note, I still love my team and always will and will continue to enjoy the feedback of the fans here on the forum each week.
