It seems we were the early adopters of this formation last season and Watford seemed to have adopted it after our showing at their place. Birmingham have used it today and Leicester are going to play it against Monaco. Have we initiated a revolution, uprising of some sort?
The 352 isn't working for us anymore. It was obvious at the back end of last season, yet we persist with it.
If we play 3-5-2 in the premier league we'll be thrashed by our opposition. We've not got a good enough team to play it.
Stopped working IMO because Elmo went right off the boil , he was/is key to it .. Plus performances as a whole dropped after Xmas in alukos absence....but it can't have failed too badly , only changed it for one match , 99% of a promotion was won with it
I can see us adopting a 3-5-2 for the more winnable games with Brady & Elmo whilst switching to a more solid back 5 in the form of Rosenior & Dudgeon against the top sides.
Bruce will use it for the first few games and see how it works. It will be more like a 5.3.1.1 anyway !
