Looks like Malky is going to have to do his best salesman impression to get this lad from France over, Strange that no other Club is willing to pay £10 million as that is not a massive amount to most Big Clubs

It's peanuts in Premier League terms for a player of that quality. If Malky gets him on board - even if he has to up the price - it'll be a massive boost.

I've said enough times on here that we need a quality defensive midfielder onboard to start this campaign. I'd heard that Huddlestone was being considered, but if we get this Capoue guy, Jol can have Huddles instead.

I wouldn't take Sinclair to be honest. Not because he was an ex-Jack (Andy Legg was one of my favourite players), but because all he did for them was score penalties. A friend of mine was a season ticket holder at the Liberty, and never had anything good to say about him when they got promoted (which was a shock considering he thought Swansea's players were footballing gods).

I liked the look on that Karim Frei we had on loan from Fulham. I was sat in the Bolton end at the Reebok last season and when Frei came on, the Bolton fans didn't say a word, because he was charging through their back line time and again. That's the kind of player we need IMO. We relied on set-pieces too many times last season.

Wouldn't want Sinclair or Frei, but if I had to pick from the 2 I'd take Sinclair.

Probably better off taking the search for a winger abroad though. Spurs have just signed a Belgian international for less than we were going to spend on Ince. Haven't seen any stories about Mcmanaman going anywhere, he's too good for someone not to try a get him back to the PL surely?

I think wigan are asking for too much for McManaman. Wouldn't mind him though.

Wigan wanted 7 million for McManaman. A good young prospect but more in the mold of Conway - a hard worker not much spark which is what we need. That's something Sinclair certainly had.

I'd credit him with a lot more pace and ability than Conway. I thought he was one of the outstanding young players during the second half of last season. He showed an ability to make things happen at PL level which is not something that family man Ince has on his CV yet.

I would prefer a more technical player. We need a bit of flair in the team, but for £7 million he's got to be worth a punt. He has that PL experience that everyone says we need.
