Unfortunately at work, will be a hard match as they are just about ready for the start of season. http://www.thisishullandeastriding.co.uk/story-19578699-detail/story.html?#axzz2Yd4tWOPC Will Claasen play? Hope they can get this sorted next week,
I'd have liked to go, especially since it's so cheap, but I can't be arsed with the travel for such a meaningless game. It'll be ****e anyway. Friendlies always are.
Friendlies are always ****,i never go to them. They don't tell you anything, even about the new players. I'll be at the Betis one though, for Andy Dawsons testimonial.
I always like the Ferriby and Winterton ones, they're the highlight of pre-season for me. I go to the home ones too although they can be **** like Norwich last year was. But it's the ones in the middle that are really ****e. Grimsby last year was a fine example, everyone was jizzing their pants waiting to see this new German wonder-striker we'd maanged to sign. He got 10 minutes at the end and it finished 0-0. Sheff Wednesday in 2009 was my personal favourite for ****eness. Another 0-0 of course.
I was gonna go due to it being a fiver, and have a few beers... But then National Rail and Trainline had other ideas and ****ed it up for me.
Looks like no Blunderside coverage, so I'm going to look on here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01cv4bx Failing BBC WM carrying it, I'm also going to check these out: http://www.radioplayer.co.uk/ (Type in Birmingham into search box).
#hcafc team to face @BcfcDotCom this afternoon: McGregor, Figueroa, Davies, Chester, Boyd, Elmohamady, Quinn, Cairney, Koren, Brady, Graham. Strong team and a Figueroa début! Can't figure out who LWB is though, Boyd? Spotted Brady now doesn't matter!
Interested to see Cairney in the team again. I think he will surprise a few people this season, he is the natural replacement for Korren who won't be up to 90 minutes every week.
I suspect it lines up like this McGregor Elmo Chester Davies Figueroa Brady Quinn Cairney Koren Boyd Graham
I think if Bruce thought he had had enough chances he would have been with Stewart and Mclean running around with the kids not starting in pre-season games... Hopefully he as something more to give.
@PJBuckingham 1m Few experiments for #hcafc at Birmingham today. George Boyd at left wing-back, Robbie Brady playing off Danny Graham up front. Turns out i was right!
