A reliable source has told me this is close to happening IF Bristol City accept. If not he is going to hand in a transfer request. What are his strengths and is he good enough to step up to the Championship?
1. He's already handed in a transfer request 2. We will accept around £1m for him, wigan have had many bids rejected all around the 700-900k mark 3. A very strong championship player, can maybe even play in a lower level premiership team if you believe cardiff and palace are in for him 4. Mean this in the nicest possible way but I think adomah will go to a team who are favourites to go up from the championship so looks unlikely he will go to milwall
transfer request has already been handed in. I agree with what Lan has said. Again no disrespect but he should and deserves to go to a better team than Millwall. Still though stranger things have happened and he could very well be heading your way but I hope for his career he doesn't and has a go at a prem team. Just to see if he can handle it up there.
He's been playing in the Championship for two years and stood out - his number of assists last season in a poor Bristol City team was impressive. I think he's handed a transfer request in in the belief that a Premier League team would come in for him. Cardiff were rumoured but it hasn't happened. As others have said, the club seem determined to get a million for him and I think that's a fair price for both the City and whoever comes in for him. He's an old fashioned winger, extremely quick and talented but his one flaw is that, if clubs work out he's the only threat (as he was for us) then he's quite easy to mark out the game by doubling up on him. As long as you've got some other talented players that shouldn't be a problem though...

Obviously a wum, but if Millwall have £1m+ to pay us up front then so be it (Oh and welcome to LondonBristolian)
We have £2M left in our transfer kitty, but doubt we will spend half of it on Adomah - no disrepect, but probably much better out there commanding that sore of fee
highly doubt it TC. Adomah is worth more than 1 million. Its only due to the fact he has 1 year left on his contract. Adomah did very well last year. 7 goals and 13 assists that's with a month and a half out with the African cup. You say there is better out there. Im sure Adomah is thinking the same
Given the lack of concrete activity regarding Adomah, I think it's time that we all stop hyping him up and just believe that he was probably a decent player in a team of crappy players. That in itself doesn't make him a Premier League quality player. Since he's handed in a transfer request, and has only a year on his contract, I think £1M is fair. I'm also happy to see us play Adomah, and if he does well to offer him good wages to sign a new deal. Last season I saw a number of silly comments stating that he was as good as Thomas Ince and Wilfried Zaha and that he commanded a similar fee, around £5-6M. He's good, but last season was poor by his standards. It's more important for him than ever to get regular first-team football at a certain level because it's a World Cup year. If I were SOD I'd see if we can tie him down to a new deal, or a year extension, but offer him out on a season-long loan so that Wigan get him for cheap. That way, at least, he remains a Bristol City player if we go back up or not.
Its not so much the fee even its more the wages he would probably have to take a cut to go to you lot, it is a none starter
Do you think he's on more than our newest signings - Scott McDonald ,Nicky Bailey, Richard Chaplow and Lee Martin then?
You ought to remember, he scored the winner against you at your place year before last (televised game)
