The daily mirror have published a list of the premier league team's spending. Man city £97.7 m Chelsea £29.5m Liverpool £23m Spurs £23m Soton £21.6m on two players Swansea £20.44m Norwich £19.6m 6 players in SAFC £19.1m WHU £15.4 Villa £10.8m everton £9.7m Cardiff £7.7m Fulham £6.2 m Hull £5.9m Stoke £3.2 m Man u £1.54m !. WBA £ 0, Arsenal £0, and finally, wait for it NEWCASTLE UNITED £0 !. Swansea and Norwich and us should do very well next season, WBA without lukaku, very dodgy and have not spent.
WBA have brought in Anelka though who is no mug! Can see us, Norwich and West Ham having a good season, not sure what to think of Swansea as I cant imagine Michu having another succesful season like last… Southampton I can imagine doing well also Everton/Fulham/Hull/Palace will struggle, i was thinking the same for villa but now with Benteke staying I think they will be alright
Total estimates like, clubs dont openly let everyone know what they spend. Arsenal isnt surprising as they have a very good squad, only need a CM (Fellaini) and a striker (Suarez) and the league battle is well and truly on! Regarding the Mags, not sure why people are laughing at them for not spending anything as they already have a very good team in my opinion and only need a few additions and if they get Remy or Gomis they are a match for most teams in the league, I would even argue that their team at present is better than ours.
Bony along side Michu mate, they will have a very good season in my opinion and a team to watch for sure next season.
Take away what we got for the mig and elmo=total spend=just over 8 mil. So we are way down on the list of actual money spent.
Lots still to happen. IF Arsenal got 2 quality players like Suarez and Fellaini it would make things really interesting, especially as the big 3 above them all have new managers.
Don't see them doing as well this season, can't see Michu being given a much time to space to finish this season now everyone knows how good he is around the box. While Bony looks a good signing he is just as unproven as altitore is for us. When you factor in they have to cope with Europe as well I can see them finishing bottom half.
