“@tonyfernandes: Over the next few days some players you love will go because they want to and some you don't will also go. And some new blood will come” “@tonyfernandes: If a player wants to leave and he's been fair to the club and club are treated well then I will never stop them.” “@tonyfernandes: And diouf Is definitely not one of them. I wonder how some of you believe this stuff.” That's cleared up then, he doesn't want players who are not fully committed, so if Mackie wants to go, then it makes sense, otherwise he won't give it 100%.
That is fair enough Tony Over the next few days some players you love will go (MACKIE) because they want to and some you don't will also go (BOOTSWINGER). And some new blood will come” (AUSTIN or HOOPER) If a player wants to leave and he's been fair to the club and club are treated well then I will never stop them.” (MACKIE) And diouf Is definitely not one of them. I wonder how some of you believe this stuff.” THANK YOU
Well thats that settled then the sewer rat will not be joing thank fcuk for that, i wonder who's lined up then & who's going, bos, mbia, cesar, graneo & maybe tarbs hope not, in haven't got a clue but hope they keep quite about it.
I'm such a pessimist; even when things are going my way. Needed this from TF; the air of negativity had grown to unbearable proportions. I'm slightly happier now.....
Will loads of you just calm down. We do NOT know what goes on behind the scenes, no matter how hard that is to realise. At the end of the transfer window, and we've shipped out quality and lost a few games, let's think differently. But for now, sit back and watch.
Letting Mackie go isnt the problem, its letting it get to the point where lesser players are played over him and he has no other choice to leave.
According to the Standard, Anton has told Harold he wants to stay and fight for his place. I'll get the bunting, who's bringing the cakes and champagne?
Looks like the Turkey experience made him appreciate what he has here.....maybe now he will knuckle down, work hard because somewhere inside there has to be a decect footballer trying to get out.....I won't hold my breath....
Good post, thanks very much Q.P.R. Very reassuring. Black Thursday just turned a slightly more encouraging shade of grey!
Worryingly I agree with flyer on this one The mackie situation shouldn't have developed to the point where he feels he has to leave
Well. In my view he was a bloody good trier. But hes not a striker, not a winger and not a midfielder. He had passion but limited ability. I think AJ is streets ahead and Mackie would always be playing second fiddle. He's gone. He didn't want to stay. Easy choice to let him go. That's football.
Please explain how AJ is 'streets ahead' of mackie??? All I've seen is an injury prone player living off past successes
Really hope that ADEL is not another MACKIE "you love" player? We will really need someone with with his creativity this season.
Before AJ got injured, in the home game v Chelsea, I was actually quite excited. Him and BZ being picked out by Taarabt was excellent football. Mackie in the side always smacked of effort over substance. A crowd pleaser to see someone put in so much effort, but we sadly forget that he didn't score that many and thus dropped down the ranks. A fit (!) AJ is way ahead, boulevards perhaps, on most levels to JM. But that's just my view.
